    My thoughts with the caveat that Hagler is probably the greater middleweight

    All three are great fighters but Hagler is the best out of the trio at 160lb,imo.

    Hard to see Moore or Charles beating peak Hagler at 160 as those guys were still developing their skills while peak 160 lb Hagler was a marvel and a finished product.

    Moore and Charles had some good wins at middleweight, but I don’t know if either had enough to beat Hagler at middleweight. I suspect they would give Hagler a good scrap, but Hagler decisions both.

    Sure did, a teenage Charles outboxing a seasoned Burley could be an indicator, in fact had he stayed at MW, he could quite conceivably, and be mentioned with, Hagler, SRR, Monzon, and Greb, for sure he was the atg at LHW, albeit without the title.

    That's sort of the safest bet IMO. Moore hit his straps well after his days of making 160. He was a late bloomer. He lost to and struggled with lesser men than Hagler there and hadn't developed the canniness he was renowned for later on. That canniness would be needed against Hagler.

    Tho he really hit his straps post war i think Charles would be the tougher out. He was incredibly talented and had some quality work there, tho green in the overall scheme of things. If either was going to beat Hagler it's Charles. It's an interesting little matchup. I'd make Hagler favorite but wouldn't want to be putting my life on it......just in case.

    Both have scalps at160lbs or near it ,to rival Hagler's,and possibly surpass it.
    Moore has. Richards x2 Henneberry,Shorty Hogue,Chase,Booker,Big Boy Hogue

    Charles has. Christoforidis,Yarosz,Burleyx2,Basora,Maxim.

    Physically, young Archie looks incredible. And strong on the inside. He may have become a more accurate puncher later in his career.
