Saw an interview with him where he was basically talking about unifying the mandatories if that's what it takes. Probably an impossible task but if the man at the top won't fight them someone has to I guess.
    Gentleman Joe going after it.

I can’t see Warren putting Itauma in with Parker at this stage.

I don't like Parker talking about next opponents, this is the most confident I have seen him going into a fight in a while and it doesn't feel right.

I think Parker works better as the underdog, I just hope he is fully focused on Wardley and isn't underestimating him.

Like a lot of boxing articles this is probably just an off hand comment by Parker that is being stretched. It might be a bit of cleverness by Parker and team as well, they know that if Parker beats Wardley cleanly enough to fight again in December that Warren will not like him for Itauma. And if Parker loses its a moot point anyway. So Parker gets brownie points for saying this without any risk.

Anyway its great to see at least one of the top heavyweights actually calling for fights and putting his money where his mouth is and taking them.

Let’s hope Parker gets to fight Usyk.

There's no way Warren would take such a risk, too soon for Itauma.

Of course. This guy will fight anyone.
Well, maybe not for five years after AJ ...
    But definitely now.
Well, at least if the opponent is green or old.
    But yeah.
I wonder why he never fought Wilder before Fury KO'd him twice though. Parker fans might want to think about that, because Parker absolutely could have chased that fight for 5+ years and no way Wilder was scared of him back then. My theory is he didn't want to fight a prime Wilder.

Rehashing this same tired viewpoint again. Parker took Joshua over Wilder because Joshua had the better offer and was much easier to work with, plus it unlocked the UK market which has been much more lucrative for Parker than the US would've been.

We can see why the fight with Wilder was never made, when we look at who Wilder chose to fight for all those years without facing his mandatory versus Parker who has consistently fought the top names he could, straight after Joshua he fought a top contender at the time, Whyte, which he lost and understandably had to rebuild.

He then had a change of team and came back to fight top guys with the Chisora fights, followed by Joyce who was also a top contender at the time. After the Joyce loss he changed up his camp again and fought four times in a year to rebuild up to the Wilder fight, where Wilder was viewed as a heavy favourite by pretty much everyone.

Followed by next top contender Zhang, another fight everyone thought he would lose, followed by Dubois, another fight people thought he would lose. Picked the hardest last minute replacement he could in Bakole, and has been chasing the unified champ since in Usyk.

Even now he is fighting the WBA mandatory, and top 10 fighter in Wardley, the highest ranked fighter he could get at this time. When he is sitting on whis WBO mandatory, most fighters would take a light touch, or just sit it out, but not Parker.

If Parker beats Wardley, then Itauma he has to get ranked above Fury and Joshua for me.

I don't remember Whyte giving Itauma problems, In fact he was blown out in seconds. I don't see how that makes Itauma super overrated.
