A genuine British Boxing Legend loved by the people.

    Not many achieve that status.

RIP Ricky and proud to have been a fan following your journey to World Champion.

I probably wouldn't be interested in boxing as much without Ricky Hatton. Massive part of growing up. Got everyone together and had great night's. Rip Ricky Hatton.

Funeral looked like it had a good turnout. Nice to see Jenifer Dooley going in with the family. The one who was with him throughout all his big fights and at the end she obviously went through a lot with him. Big part of each others lives. Often doesn’t happen when people aren’t together anymore often, some sort of friction with family or soemthing, good to see they must be on good terms.

    Still feels surreal.

I understand why all the cameras are there but it always feels a bit ghoulish filming grieving families at funerals.

I thought that but the family must have asked him.

Fair enough, and maybe they had their own eulogy, but, was Adam Smith really that close to him, I doubt they were good, good friends.

Yes mate, they were really close.
The Hattons gave him and sky full access to their home filming his rise, and for many of the documentaries before most of his earlier fights, as well as some of his biggest ones.

That’s what I thought. Think they said Campbell spoke, obviously kept that private maybe they wanted someone like Smith to do a public one.

Campbell spoke , both his girls did prerecorded speeches , his mother had a speech read out and his sister in law read a poem , it was very sad but beautiful. Adam smith covered more of the boxing / celeb side , Adam is close to all the family , his speech as were the others was perfect , he was emotional and so was everyone in the cathedral
