Let's say that the Tyson of Bruno 2 fights the Lyle of the Shavers or Foreman fights. Who wins?

I’d still favor Tyson but by that point it would have been a tough fight

Lyle's got too much fight in him for this version of Tyson. Lyle overcomes an early knockdown to stop Tyson in 8 or 9.

I think Tyson and Lyle would play his game. The long layoff wasn't as much of a problem as the easy wins, mental problems, and lack of discipline. In 1995, Tyson still had that fire, and Lyle would have taken him seriously. Mike, after a brutal war, has nothing on Tyson, though. Mike, from Botha, would have stopped Lyle.

If Shavers can back him up into the corner, get on his chest and give him hell early on, Tyson likely takes him out.

Shavers really was giving Lyle the business early on in that fight.
