If fighters could never age as long as they were champions who would be champions forever

I could see RJJ still ruling the SMW or light heavyweight division to this day if he was forever in his prime.

1988 Mike Tyson or 1997 Lennox Lewis could perhaps rule the heavyweights unto this day. Imagine the Tyson of 88 or Lewis of 97 fighting Parker, Usyk, Itauma or Dubois?

Robinson could still be welterweight champion. The Robinson of 46 is still champion in 2006 and ends up against Mayweather.

Who else could be champion forever?

Yeah at 147 (then 135lbs when “day before” weigh ins start) Robinson basically never losses to date if he is eternally peaked…

    None.

    They would all lose eventually.

Nobody. Even if a champion stops aging they wouldn’t stay hungry and motivated indefinitely. Eventually they’ll get bored with boxing and retire or eventually get beaten into retirement.

Look at how many great welterweights there have been since he was champion. Fighting that many great fighters, back to back, you will eventually lose one. The only people that are at their absolute best every time out are the ones that don't do anything.

I think they would stay motivated by the prospect of eternal youth if the victories continue. That's a huge motivator that all the money in the universe can't buy.

That’s true, but in context to this question Grey apparently they’re eternally at there best forever an immortal Robinson is the topic here so who’d you pick to beat him since his day? Napoles is probably as best you’ll get, even with all his skill I think Robbi overwhelms him.

None would be forever champions, but if I HAD to bet my life on someone it'd be Roy Jones Jr at 168.

If we send him back in time Ezzard Charles would get him!

A 168 RJJ would be a light heavyweight in Charles day.

Hearns wasn’t Robinson he was dead odds with Leonard, I’d give a prime Robinson an 8/10 chance for KOing Ol Leonard because SRL didn’t go down without a real fight.

Roberto Duran at '35 in peak form isn't losing anytime soon....unless Tank Davis gets involved.

What about 1983 Spinks at light heavyweight?
