Yeah I mean Fury's Ngannou fight before Usyk, Joshua getting flattened by Dubois, and then if Dubois gets wrecked by Sanchez. Usyk's resume wouldnt age well...

Especially without wins over Parker and/or Kabayel if those two go on to dominate the division.

I don't think so. Right after Dubois rematch, in post fight interview in the ring, he said "age 37 is not old, it's just the beginning", thus we will see him fighting at least 3 more years.

It would be a bigger farce than the Fury/Chisora trilogy.

I'm tired of seeing rematches and inactivity let's get some new contenders fighting for the belts.

Let's be realistic, though - Joshua had the strongest resume at the time, Fury was right up there too and Dubois, whilst young, had a reasonable claim to being the best of the rest (and might well still prove it).

Parker has massive staying power in the division and has the years left to continue building his own legacy and resume... And realistically, we pretty much know that he will.

Kabayel is a lot more of a wildcard in legacy terms...
He looks good, and certainly looks like he could go on to prove move - the problem is he's proved less to date, and he's less reliable in terms of being able to be trusted to actually go on and prove move.
His career path to date, whether entirely his own fault or not, casts doubt on what he might eventually go on to do - or not...
It looks absolutely terrible to hit a career high and then step 3-4 levels down and stay there for several years - and that's exactly what Agit did after Chisora... But as if that weren't bad enough, he's gone and done it again by stepping down levels upon levels from a dangerous fringe contender in Zhang down to a circus level bumfighter in Hysa.

From an Usyk perspective, Parker makes sense... Kabayel would be much more of a gamble, in legacy terms, even if he looks like he'd be right up with the best in terms of potential to present a challenge to the cat.

Should be a fun fight, even though neither guy deserves a shot at any title whatsoever.

There's a lot for talent at HW, and I'm just glad fights are actually being made for a change. Maybe the winner can face Moses or the winner between Wilder vs Ruiz. Those are good crossroads type of matchups where only the winner can really stay relevant.

He's 38, soon to be 39. I take him at his word.

“Trilogy” fights are only of any importance if the first two fights were split.

Apparently he feels Usyk has not given him enough brain damage…he wants to receive some more…
