This kind of mismatches is what is wrong with boxing. Boots is such a disappointment, talking a big game after destroying an opponent that should not have been there in the first place.
I know Ennis is 35-0 but his 35-0 record is pretty flattering and padded up still and has fought fringe contenders at best. He needs to fight someone serious next like Vergil or Murtazaliev. Although will probably end up being Baraou.
So far his career has been carefully manufactured. He looks good but the reality is he is still a 28 year old prospect.
No he hasn't. Stop quoting that goofy nonsense. Nothing has been signed. No negotiation has been official. They were simply in talks and gave scenarios on both sides that both Ennis and Ortiz seemed to agree to in order to make the fight. How do you sign a contract that doesn't have a date, a platform, a purse amount, a location, etc...... You'd be idiotic to sign something that doesn't have the most important information on it for it to matter in negotiations. And one side is not going to get the official papers with out the other fighter's lawyers looking over it as well. Too many clueless fans talking about some fighter has already signed something when truthfully y'all don't know a damn thing about the process of making the fight otherwise you would say the silly stuff y'all do with so much confidence.
I'm kind of out of the loop on this one. What fights has Ennis avoided that lead to people calling him a ducker? The only one I can think of is the Crawford fight that was talked about, but I'm not sure why that never eventuated.
Ennis does have a reputation for being all talk to be honest but we'll see. I really hope that fight happens.
No boy. That is what's in the talks.... DAZN is where ALL of Eddie Hearns fights are. So if one of his fighters are in talks, where do you think they are going to say it's going to be..... And being that Ennis is now his "golden boy"......you don't think it will say it's going to be PPV? EVERY VENUE you can go to their site, call their box office, etc.... and gain information for events that are SCHEDULED to be showcased in their building...... What building are you going to call to get information. MGM Grand Garden Arena? MGM Grand Conference Center? Alliegence Stadium?..........You can't say just say VEGAS. Because that is the suggestion for the location. That's just a city and arguably the MECCA of boxing..... What arena, stadium, social hall, gymnasium, etc.... are they having the fight in....You can then check to see the exact date in which the event will be held IN THAT BUILDING because there is a legal contract in place to hold the spot, along with the down payment to hold the spot...... There is a protocol. It takes more than some ignorant fan saying the fight is going to be in VEGAS on DAZN PPV. And if there is a contract in place, then prices would be in place because we would know how much tickets will be, the purse for the main and under cards, etc..., how much the PPV will be.......because it takes $$$$ to throw these events. No money has been poured into a fight that YOU claim only one person has signed the contract......what if the other decides to go elsewhere. People with money are usually smart about their money. Why would they invest in something that BOTH parties haven't legally agreed to.. So, if Ortiz haven't signed this imaginary contract.....how could their possibly be a location solidified for their fight...... The fight isn't even official.....lol....... See how your logic is faulted. Probably not, because you are looking to win an argument, not lean on facts Maybe I'm being too hard on you..... Maybe you have information that I and others don't have......please provide me a link that shows the Ennis/Ortiz fight scheduled. I mean you said in VEGAS with confidence.....inform me on where the fight will be.....
agree totally, but i'll forgive him if he stops ortiz or fundora or madrimov next. he's like 28 yo with almost 40 fights and hasn't had his abilities tested yet. not good. does not inspire much admiration.
