This overlooked Flyweight scrap is deserving of more views. A sensational 12 round war that ends with Somchai Chertchai (aka Saen Sor Ploenchit) winning by split decision despite knocking down Jang twice. Probably one of the best Flyweight wars I've seen. I'd honestly place this bout as the best fight of 1996 over Holyfield vs Tyson 1 IMO.

Almost every SSP fight is a war he's one of my fav Thai fighters.

And the best fight of 96 for me was Barrera VS Mckinney. The ring gave it to Tyson VS Holyfield due to it being a major event cause it sure wasn't the best fight.

Crazy enough the fight previous and after this one were also hard fought fights when he fought Hiroki Ioka (uncle of Kazuto Ioka) and Leo Gamez. That’s 3 back to back wars within a 6 month time frame. This guy was crazy tough.

Who do you think would have won between Chatchai Sasakul and Saen Sor Ploenchit?
