Agree with this. If everything is above board Janibek wins. I could see Janibek winning a 116-112 type of fight but he would likely get hosed on the cards.

Yes, truth be told Janibek should never agree to fight Crawford in the US even though he's the B-side

Neither should Bak-Mur with Super Boots either given the long history of deep Soviet brothers getting robbed over there

I watched that entire thing hoping he'd crash.

    Young lion huh?.....lol.

Janibek is the exact same age when people start calling Crawford old (32).....It was said that Kavaliauskas's success in those early rounds was due to Crawford aging. That and Crawford being "too small" was reasons some said that the "inactivity" of Crawford would be his downfall vs Kell Brook. Age 32 specifically was the first time I heard Crawford being suggested that he was "slowing down".....fast forward to today, 8 more world titles and 2 Lineal titles......and he's still standing strong.

So how is it that Janibek is considered a young lion at age 32?

It's literally the only fight that out his own mouth he name dropped when he said he was thinking about going down to 160........

Crawford beating Canelo is the good old saying, styles make fights. This version of Canelo is tailormade for a fighter like Bud. Theres probably a good chunk of fighters at 168 that smoke Bud just because of the size and style. 160, i still think theres some id favour over Bud, Janibek is one. I think we do see Bud at 160lbs though, but i full expect him to not fight Janibek as much as id be curious to see it. Lara or Adames the most likely route.

14 world titles, 3 undisputed statuses, 3 Lineal titles, and people still haven't gained the common sense to stop doubting Crawford's ability to AT THE VERY LEAST have a chance to have success vs anyone he gets in the ring with. Instead all the energy is put into attempting to discredit the opponent afterward Crawford does what he does to him.

It's all comedy at the end of the day.........

Crawford by.....decision, stoppage, or whatever he wants. I don't see Janibek as a bigger threat than Canelo, Spence, or Kavaliauskas. He has many openings in his offense as well that Crawford's IQ can definitely exploit..... Even in his "old age"......

How's bout it actually happen and you see how I respond, Miss Cleo.

Thus far, my analysis of all of Crawford's match ups have been proven to be correct. If you aren't too lazy, rather than talking about what "this poster" will do, how about you check my history on my predictions of his fights. Though I'm sure you are probably just one of the many who like to use your WiFi connection to argue, debate, and ramble about things you know nothing about rather doing actual research.

Nothing I say is far from reality. While respecting the opponent, it's not hard for me to point out that Crawford has the ability to compete with everyone he's put in the ring with. And if Janibek is the next man up...(the fight that I said was the most dangerous for him at 160), it's not hard for me as a BOXING FAN not a man fan to understand that Crawford's skill set can exploit certain flaws in this match up.

He and his camp have already express that they aren't retiring and Canelo has already said no to a rematch....... Let alone the fact that Turki himself has stated that he has an announcement for Crawford's next match up to come up pretty soon. Stated that Crawford will take the rest of the year off and make the announcement at the beginning of 2026......

Do anyone on this board actually pay attention to the sport and just chant random things and repeat it amongst yourselves in these forums.

Janibek's resume makes Crawford's look like Sugar Robinson's, Greb's, and Oscar's all rolled into one. However, he's a far more dangerous and risky assignment for Crawford than this badly faded stylistically favourable version of Clenelo ever was who even in his prime couldn't deal with certain styles. Just like Iglesias at 168 would be for Crawford who I believe would decapitate Crawford.

Janibek not only graduated at the Soviet school but he's also bringing that Eurasian heat too. Soviet heat has caused Crawford plenty of problems already but a combination of Soviet and Eurasian heat with the addition of Qazaq Style slickness?

Janibek's backhand is like a homing missile and he's slick, fresh and a very spiteful puncher

Not too dissimilar here in these highlights (the 2nd fight vs Vaughn Alexander) to what Crawford was doing when he stood in front of Clenelo

    This content is protected

And guess what? One of those mother beeping thieving home judges scored that fight to Alexander even though Janibek paddled his ass

So even Janibek has already been robbed by one of the judges over there and had one more of them done so he too would be a member of Club Deep Soviet brothers who've been robbed in the US and we all know how extensive that list is

So if Crawford vs Janibek is to happen it needs to happen in Janibek's home country or Saudi at the very least because he's the champ, Crawford will be contesting Janibek's belts, 2 or 3 providing he beats Lara, every single foreign world champion Crawford has fought sans Burns either fought him in his country or fought him in his country and brought their belts to him even when he was the challenger and held no belt, and last but not least they will rob a deep Soviet brother damn near everytime over there and we know damn well they'll rob him if he doesn't spark Crawford out cold or dominate every second of every round and drop Crawford half a dozen times

And why the hell should Crawford get a free pass from never taking his belts on the road and defending them in his opponent's backyard for once in his life or only travelling once in his entire career when he literally had no choice other than to do so if he wanted to win that belt? Why should he have the deck stacked in his favour all the time, especially vs foreigners?

All brought their belts to him

    Postol
    Indongo
    Horn
    Madrimov
    Clenelo

And now Janibek is supposed to do so too?

Janibek is a monster. You people downplaying him will be in for a rude awakening provided this fight comes off. Crawford should just retire, he will be 39. Janibek should be fighting Iglesias or Boots

Would be a great fight but I don't see Turki paying tens of millions for it.

We'll see, I really do hope Crawford keeps fighting but he isn't the most active fighter and is getting old.
