Obviously the true world heavyweight champion is Usyk, and if there's one title that defines the true world champion, it's the Ring Magazine world title for me. That said, if Gassiev wins the WBA world title, he'll be a world champion, just like all those who have won a WBA/WBO/WBC/IBF world title.

    Love it, and GO IRON!

Gassiev's last chance to creep back into the picture.

He injured himself again, apparently, in that fight. It is what it is.

His best days are gone, but there are still those of us who hope he can get it together for a last good fight or two. Lindquist was as good as he looked in years with that hook, and then, strangely, in the last fight, he seemed to regress again.

I would love to see the guy end on a WBA regular title victory, maybe one successful defense and a cash-out.

Pulev is not a southpaw, and Gassiev was injured again.

The WBA called for a mandatory defence for Pulev and that meant #1 contender Itauma. But Pulev's team took legal action demanding a voluntary defence prior to having a mandatory one.

It seems their action was successful. So it is Gassiev not Itauma.

They have offered Itauma a place on the undercard with the plan being for him to fight the winner.

Lol! I see that Boxrec is finally conceding that Gaseiv is 6'2.5", and not 6'4".

Pulev's chin is like a left hook magnet, Gassiev chins him in terrifying seizure inducing fashion.

On paper it seems that Pulev could actually win this since he can box, even though somehow he forgot all those skills when he faced Wlad.
    Hopefully he can do it.

Pulev came back from adversity after having to attend that sexual harassment rehabilitation course. Ever since then he hasn't quite been the same.

Gassiev going to pull out injured again no doubt. His career at HW has been one great big injury.

You have to favour Pulev here if the fight goes ahead given he will facing someone who won’t be fit and be carrying.

You heard it here first….Kubrat Pulev is the biggest banana skin for Usyk in the division.

    Pretty good fight actually.
Gassiev got slow legs so Pulev got oppurtinity to use often his great jab. Wallin outboxed Murat like that.
But Kubrat age... Can be to late for him for such fight.
Better and more competive fight than Itauma vs Pulev for sure.
