In new interview apparently https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...ut-wont-fight-young-prodigy-moses-itauma-next Then he wants to open a training academy. Father Time is undefeated, though technically with Usyk only fighting once a year it still only means likely 2 - maybe 3 more fights tops.
Hes at 24-0 now, reaching 30-0 would be incredible for him. Guessing as of now: Parker/Wardley next, followed by Kabayel then possibly Itauma.
He'd have a different opinion if there were some brilliant talents coming through but there aren't really.
I wonder who he is negotiating with, I don't think its Parker. Maybe its Warren in general? If Usyk keeps fighting the top of the division like he has been for the next three years there is every chance he catches a loss. But like he said in this interview losing is part of life or something thing like that.
If we are being honest The best case scenario will be two solid fights against mandatory’s and then a quick payday against someone he’s beaten before. Likely fury or chisora
Usyk is my favorite fighter. But this has a hint of Biden about it. If he stays undefeated it'll be amazing... as long as Fury isn't next. But if he stays on and loses ... it is what it is. A loss that need not have been next to his name. We Mike Tyson fans have already been through this.
Imagine we get one fight a year and it's Joshua 3, Fury 3 and Dubois 3. I think I'd laugh so hard that id cry.
He won't get to 30-0 he's been averaging 1 fight per year for the last 6 years. He'd need to be averaging 2 fights a year for that to happen and let's be real realistically that's not happening. But I bet Itauma is happy he can now try and age out Usyk as much as possible and then try his luck in a year or two.
I agree 6 more fights would be a pretty tall order every six months. I think 4-5 fights is realistic if Usyk is serious about fighting until 41. 30-0 is just a nice milestone.
