Fury is an active boxer with some defining bouts still ahead of him, ergo his legacy being irreparably damaged by his hiatus and Joshua's subsequent belt-warming emergence is a spurious claim that couldn't possibly be substantiated until this generation's gloves are hung up, especially given that the dramatic and triumphant nature of Fury's return from the wilderness can be argued as legacy-enhancing in itself.

And the conceit that he is "going to be remembered as a Riddick Bowe level guy" is a highly dubious forecast.

    Neither statement constitutes fact.

Crazy how much protection Joshua gets.

It is his fault major fights in his career didn't happen. You can't 100% blame the other guy. He never made an offer that actually got Wilder OR Fury in the ring. Ffs.

The other day i told pac fans running does not excuse a loss and a p4p goat should catch a runner.

Same but different. Sure, maybe Wilder wanted too much. Maybe Fury is a *****. Whatever, big money josh still did not make the biggest money fights he could have. He did not do everything in his power and none of the 3 ****s used mandos to force a gd thing

Wilder believed Fury was a spent force and picked the easy fight.

    This.

Then Wilder stopped AJ Vs Fury by suing. Ngl I really hate Wilder, like a large amount, his delusional claims of Fury or his own trainers cheating against him and the way he thought he was still relevant after the beating Fury gave him in the second fight.

As for the AJ - Wilder money, it's all based on the word of who, Hearn? His claims of 100 million are laughable. There is zero chance Finkel and Wilder don't take that just to avoid a KO. Look at him now, happily getting back in the ring after being KO'd three times but he wouldn't do that for 100 million? It was clearly a lie.

As for the actual numbers, we'll never know. And both AJ and Wilder like ducking. Both could be at fault at various times.

But forget that period, the real evidence of who is MOSTLY to blame came after Wilder lost to Fury and Fury got to the top. From that point Wilder has called for the fight many times and AJ never wanted it. And Fury offered the December title fight and AJ didn't want that because he wanted to rebuild for what became the eventual Dubious shot. These are facts, it all played out in the open. AJ didn't jump at the Fury fight but was obstructive and fought Wallin/MMA guy instead of Wilder in Arabia with Wilder at the same event! Wilder still called for the fight after losing to Parker and Hearn and AJ dismissed it!

AJ only called on Fury when he got KO'd by Dubious and had no big fights left and Wilder's stock was gone.

AJ is a great guy but sadly he never truly believed in himself!

Few things that are wrong here:

    - We don’t know the actual numbers but Wilder himself said in a tweet he turned down a career high payday from Joshua to fight Fury so regardless of exact digits it’s still true Wilder turned it down.

    - Al Haymon openly admitted in 2015 that they wouldn’t put Wilder in with Klitschko because Wilder ‘wasn’t ready’ despite being a world champion with almost 40 fights. Why wouldn’t they duck AJ as well?

    - Fury only offered to fight Joshua that December AFTER Joshua had just lost to Usyk twice, and all evidence points to AJ accepting the fight and Fury making sure it didn’t happen. Watch that Fury netflix documentary it was literally all recorded in real time: Fury keeps setting meaningless deadlines, his own management keep phoning him telling him that AJ has accepted the fight they just need more time to hash out the deal, but Fury ‘cancels’ the fight on his social media because some arbitrary deadline has been passed - then literally starts jumping with joy because he doesn’t have to fight AJ. Like it’s right there on film.

    - AJ was calling out Fury well before the Dubois loss. He’s basically been calling for the fight nonstop for the last few years.

Both Wilder and Finkel said that the DAZN deal was genuine but decided to go the other way, lol.

AJ also signed to fight Fury in 2021, but Wilder won the arbitration. Signed to fight Wilder in 2024 also, but Wilder wet the bed against Parker.

It was Finkel, not Haymon. He called him "a baby who just only won the title". LOL. You can't make this up.

I guess neither fancied facing Joshua at that time
Amazing really as at one point Joshua was holding 3 of the 4 belts
I guess they were waiting for the right time

Silly question really. It's like saying why didn't Fury and Wilder fight Povetkin when Joshua did, or why didn't either fight Parker when he was a champion when Joshua did.
Why did Wilder nor unify when the titles were in America or why did Fury decide to not defend his titles and not fight for a long period when Joshua was coming through
Anyone can ask questions like that, to give an impression when only alledgedly asking a question
Truth is I doubt many of us know the real answers
