Here is the top of my "most HW contenders fought" leaderboard.

    78)Langford
    52)Battling Levinsky
    48)Gunboat Smith
    48)Porky Dan Flynn
    45)Jeanette
    44)Fireman Jim Flynn
    44)McVea
    44)Risko
    41)Louis
    41)Ali
    40)Loughran
    40)Ezzard Charles
    36)Bivins
    33)Wlad Klitschko
    33)Jack Twin Sullivan
    32)Tony Ross
    32)Jeff Clark
    31)Wills
    31)Miske
    31)Holmes
    30)Holyfield

I do not have McVea, Porky Flynn and Jeff Clark counted as HW contenders. Meaning others fights against them aren't counted towards their total.

That's a crazy list. Bert was one my favorite heavyweights.. Win some, lose some, but fight them all.
He "retired" the hot shot Canadain prospect in his breakout fight. Came close to beating Holyfieild and Moorer.

I got one for ya my guy in the division Jospeh Parker…Wilder, Whyte, Ruiz, Zhang, Takam, AJ, Hughie, Chisora x2, Joyce, Wardley, Bakole all of that iron and he’s only 33 it is far from out of the question for him to wind up battling it out with Fury, Usyk, Agit, Hrgovic, Dubios, Ajagba, Makmudov, and Anderson etc he might even have 7 more years on the clock, it would be very unsurprising given the times we live in with PED’s and fewer fights JP’s style seems made to last these days he has an iron chin, very strong, economic counter punching and is solid at 260lbs which might be the source of the new found pop of his? There is a window now and when Usyk retires for him to win the title so he might yet be DQ’d from this sort of list but if nothing else he is one of the finest contenders to ever try at the prize so far.

It's weird to think a guy who started his career in the 1880's went on to fight prime Marvin Hart.
