Is Parker's win on Bakole overlooked?

Just to add, I've never been high on Bakole and Billy Nelson is an even bigger overhyping wind bag than Eddie Hearn, by quite some measure. I used to call Louis Ortizn't for a reason, as I thought he was never going to win a title of note and saw the same kind of derailing hype train with Bakole. Beating an overhyped, untested American doth not a world class HW operator make.

It's a little underrated. Plenty of people were picking Bakole to win even on short notice, and for a last minute replacement Parker was still taking on an opponent nobody else seemed to want to fight.

In saying that, Bakole turned up in awful shape. But Parker can only fight who's in front of him and it's not his fault Dubios bottled it to begin with.

    Nah it's a meaningless win.
Bakole literally got off the couch, flew to Saudi got in the ring and got done over. A fully fit Bakole at least goes rounds and lands some shots.
I know Martin got paid well but long term I think he did he career more harm than good.

Not Parker's fault at all, but it's not in his top 5 wins or even top 10 probably. Bakole wasn't ready to fight.

I don't put much stock in the victory. Pretty much meaningless.

No it's not he had zero training camp and arrived in Saudi less than 24 hours before the fight.

If you want to know how important a training camp is watch Fury labouring to a points win in a highly competitive fight with a cage fighter who would not win a British title. and then watch him have a semi-competitive fight with one of the greatest boxers of all time the fight after.

Na, it doesn't count for much. Bakole was overweight, undertrained, and had been on a plane for about 14 hours 2 days earlier. It's more telling that Dubois crumbled and avoided Joe, knowing he would lose to him. Mind you, if Usyk had beaten Bakole in 2 rounds under the same circumstances, there'd be people on here using it as evidence of how he'd demolish a prime George Foreman.

Bakole had no camp and looked like a corpse that had been dragged out of a canal after two weeks. It's best for everyone to forget that 'fight'.
