I watched it yesterday,He wasnt hanging on like he was on the verge of being KO'd,I dont think he was ever in danger even with the injury.Del kept coming but just walked straight in for 12 rounds without any kind of plan,Freddie Roach on comms mentioned that Del moved his head like Frazier (Thought Freddie was generous with that comment) but wasnt throwing hooks

VK already war torn himself @40 before tearing a ligament himself early in the fight still completely dominated,He did use the left but it was kind of useless

If this scenario unfolded vs someone else how many would have a chance of defeating Vitali?

Im not sure where this victory ranks?

I thought Chisora had a golden opportunity anyway

Strange how Del boy is being seen as the destroyer of old timers nowadays.

Glaukus received a temporary ban for posts surrounding Tunney and race.

Please don't @ him into a thread he might otherwise have ignored, for "exposure therapy" or otherwise.

IN fact, avoid @ing people into posts which have proven problematic to them full stop. Add it to the list of things you can't do because they're a wind up.

Look at Vitali at the end of the Chisora fight (48:35) .. hanging on for his life.

I like glorifying the gold guy but seriously ? Chiosora was bigger, stronger, faster and harder hitting than Jeffries. I like the legend of old Jeff but he fought no one who comes even close to the level and size of the guys Derrik fought tooth and nail ... Look at Vitali after their bout .. he was hanging on for his life and practically collapsed into Wlads arms at the end. Usyk flat out says Derrick gave him his hardest fight at hgeravyweight and hit him the hardest .. Max Baer, wild swinging, back hand throwing , amateur hour Max Baer ? Really ? What do you base these decisions on ? Baer by the way only weighted 203 for his biggest ever win over 19 pound Schmeling .. do you think he's going to muscle and push around Derrick ? It's a romantic dream.

I actually feel Dempsey , while a protected , inactive underachiever who never developed into what he could of if he stayed a fighter instead of a commodity was potentially an extremely gifted and tough fight but he was handing on for his life against the giant 6'2", 212 pound Firpo ... can you imagine 189 pound Dempsey swapping with this guy .. a stylistic nightmare for Jack.

I get it that Chisora is better than his record suggests, but we have to ask ourselves what is most probably here, and we can't be blind to the fact that he lost his most important fights.

He lost to every size shape and style of fighter going.

While I rate David Haye as a finisher, I would not go so far as to say that he was better than Dempsey or Baer.

There is absolutely nothing in his resume to suggest that, other than the fact that he stopped Chisora.
