Fair play. I've enjoyed watching some of the English grifters pass through the Saudi league then having a strange extended holiday somewhere else for 180 days after leaving their club, to avoid paying tax on the loot... good luck to them!

As for Parker I suspect he'll grind out 12 and win by 2-3 points but I remember his Joyce fight (his most recent turning point) where the grind resulted in a late freak knockout. Wardley hasn't shown any signs of getting stopped so you could see the same happening. Suspect it won't be pretty but really hope I'm wrong.

Gut instinct or do you know something concrete?

    Utter clown him.

My cafe is doing great business since I named it ‘Barm Squad!!’ though. I have introduced a challenge same weight as his suit before Fury 2. Nobody has beaten it.

Absolutely, that’s what makes it interesting. Parker is very hurtable.

    Interesting fight.

Normally, I would pick Parker to out box Wardley and win a wide UD, with the possibility of a one punch KO from nowhere for Wardley.

However, Parkers recent weight gain is a worry. Yes, it may have a positive in increased punch power, particularly against a defensively open fighter in Wardley. But, if Wardley can weather the storm, Parker could tire with the increased mass.

This increase in bulk adds a bit of an unknown quantity to the fight, for me. The old Parker who fought on the back foot is perfect for Wardley. That Parker wins comfortably. With the increase bulk, I'm assuming, also comes a more attacking Parker who will hold his feet more. This could be his undoing against a man who only needs one punch to win.

Seriously? I don’t mind either way but I would expect Parker to be too switched on to the threat, Wardley seems to force the openings rather than work them, if Parker can connect half as much as Huni did then I think Parker gets him out of there, I support my country man by default but I don’t think he deserves to be anywhere near contention based off his previous opposition. I have warmed to Wardley since listening to him talk about his position in boxing, he’s down to earth and doesn’t talk shite.
I have no idea how the fight will go but somehow I find a Wardley stoppage to be one of the least likely outcomes.
    Is the undercard any good?

I like Wardley but I expect a relatively easy Parker win. Prove me wrong.

There’s no argument to prove you wrong except Wardley catching Parker with a bomb in my opinion. Punchers chance only.

Parker points win for me in a very watchable fight.

Wardley is always in entertaining fights and agree with above punchers chance analogies, the good thing in the HW division having that as your best weapon to winning is never a bad thing.

Wardley when he has opponents in trouble he's a very good finisher, doesn't get overexcited. Parker will have to stay switched onto the danger.

It's a prediction I hope to get wrong I'd like to see Wardley cause the upset but for me Parker is generally a very likeable boxer.

Know what you mean. It's hard to dislike either of them, but if you wanted one to carry on to a bigger fight, Wardley is more likely to be entertaining (one way or another). Credit to Parker for not sitting around waiting as the Usyk fight would presumably gross rather more than £3m.

Apart from Zhang, Joey 12 has faced very poor opponents that were simply cannon fodder since being destroyed by Joe Joyce three years ago.

Fighting guys like Washed up Wilder or Butterbean Bakole are no tests at all.

The difference between Wardley and Zhang is the former will be dangerous the full 12 rounds instead of 4.

White Collar Wardley may have a better chance of icing Parker than many suspect he has.

Talk to me folks, anything else on this card worth watching other than the main event? Presumably the main event won’t be on any earlier than 10 because there’s football on tonight on sky

No, not gut instinct and yes... seriously. Because of what @Beale said. I think a lot of people are overrating the **** out of Parker based on his wins over a decrepit Wilder who can no longer pull the trigger, and when he does, is shooting wet bullets. Or a lumbering old man with a 2 rounds gas tank, who still managed to drop him two times with glancing blows. Then his win over a jet lagged obese whale with no camp, who waddled in the ring fresh off his couch, I doubt he even had time to properly wipe the Cheetos crust off his chest. Parker is still the guy that got KTFO by Joyce, barely scraped by Chisora and struggled with middling Cruiserweight Jack Massey. Wardley is far from perfect and is no world beater, but he's got a better gas tank than Zhang, more heart than a gunshy Wilder and hits a hell of a lot harder than Chisora and Massey. I like Parker, he seems like a nice guy, and in a fair world he wins tonight and gets his shot at Usyk, but this world is the antithesis of fair.
