Why is Parker such a heavy favourite over Wardley?

This is it. We all get it wrong when picking a fight.

Congratulate the man who read a fight better and move on.

Parker certainly deserves credit for taking on a big puncher like Wardley when he didn't have to. But the cost of that decision and the way it played out now has huge ramifications. He could have taken a much easier fight, cruised through and then the Usyk fight was his.

As far as the way Wardley-Parker played out, after 10 rounds two judges had it 98-92 and 96-94 for Parker and the third judge had them even at 95-95.

In Wardley-Huni, after 9 completed rounds, all three judges had it for Huni 88-83, 89-82 and 89-82.

So in both fights, up until the conclusion, not one of the 6 judges had Wardley ahead and rightly so, because he had been outboxed in both bouts.

There are still moron who refuse to believe that a heavyweight boxer with KO power has a punchers chance till the final bell rings. This is Wardley. It doesn’t matter he is behind on the card. The card doesn’t mean a damn thing when the end result is Wardley by ko/tko
