Based on last night, who thinks Parker would’ve beaten Dubois if the champion hadn’t caught a cold and taken a metaphorical knee?

Anyone seen the state of Parker today? His forehead looks deformed like a character out of Star Trek.

    Wardley doesn’t mess about!

The verdict is in from my 68 year old mum. It was the best fight she’s watched in ages. Well done Bricktop I guess.

Parker should be kicking himself today imo. He had the fight won. Wardly hurt him pretty well on a few occasions but parker was beating him up for a lot of the fight. Ended up getting too greedy I think andy lee told him that a round or two before.

Fair play to wardley tho hes pretty basic with his boxing skills but he does have the things you cant teach which does tend to take you quite far in the sport.

Poor stoppage. Parker was aware of his surroundings...avoided or blocked most of the punches and fired back just prior to the stoppage. Again he should be kicking himself....had to hold on and clinch wardley. Wardley was emptying his own tank to the point he wouldnt have recovered himself in the twelve.

Should defo be a rematch imo. I dont think the weight made that much of a difference for parker. He didnt actually get caught with much. Its just that when wardley catches you he tends to shake you up.

They’ve obviously bulked up in preparation for Usyk and took the gamble to fight Wardley inbetween, but coming in heavy isn’t the way to beat Wardley. You need to be active and outbox him. Took a big gamble and it backfired.

I’ve mentioned on here a few times I thought this run of Parker’s was being vastly overrated. Wilder was shot to bits and didn’t throw a punch, Zhang was fcked if he had to put more than 3 punches together but put him down twice & Bakole was just a fat mess.

Not sure bulk is the way to beat Usyk either, Parker isn't tall enough to impose it and not enough of a kamikaze like Chisora to risk mauling with it. Not sure Parker had much of a chance anyway but slowing down , and hoping for a punch on someone who doesn't go over, was a long shot.

I actually like Wardley but he beat a guy that's been living on beating shot fighters and fat slobs for the past 2 years.
Easy fight for Usyk he will play with Wardley.
