1. Hearn slipping a length into a place where we would all love to go. 2. UK wide concerns about Bellew's safety when he leaves home. 3. Nearly all of Terry O'Connors scorecards.
Fully agree. the silent bans are something that should be made public. A failed test should mean, if they do come back they are tested more frequently and a second time dismissed from the sport. I would say 1 and out but we probably wouldn't have anyone left. Trainers should be looked at as well.
1) TV pundits refusing to call out bad decisions 2) Two or more televised cards on the same night 3) Football crowds being called "great atmosphere"
1, Awful home decision/promoter cards lots of house fighters 2/3 rd's up before a punch is thrown. 2, Poor third man in the ring, overzealous officials. 3, Being in venues and the bugle mob take over, drunk and drugged up with no interest in the fights.
Nepo babies in and out of the ring, Hearn, Benn etc Two minute rounds in women's boxing The "best" sometimes never fighting the "best" or taking too long to do it
1. Commentators making out that any women’s fight is like Hagler Hearns. Have you ever heard a commentator say that a women’s fight is a stinker. 2. Turki over paying boxers so that they rarely fight and when they do expect so much money that the fight has to go on PPV. Boxing and boxers have zero regard for the people who pay their wages. To hear British level boxers calling out Turki to put them on in Saudi is basically everything that wrong in the current boxing landscape in one sentence. 3. Sorry to talk about him again but the people on here who wanted Adam Smith back after he was binned by Sky. Nothing goes together better than DAZN and Adam Smith. He’s like the Terminator. Nothing was going to keep him off TV boxing. Listen to his commentary. I know it’s hard. It’s mostly him selling DAZN. Between every round, during every round, he’s pushing the business. I’m not going to mention all his other BS cause it’s been discussed enough. He’d kick his old nan down the stairs to get a tv gig. He got a foot in with GBM and within weeks he took over everything. Now he’s on every week, sometimes twice. So a big thank you to the posters who said ‘ I miss Adam Smith ‘ during the 2 weeks he was off the box. Costello wasn’t great but at least he didn’t actively spoil a fight. I hate cancel culture but I find myself hoping he says something inappropriate. I know that’s bad karma but he’s killing my enjoyment of a sport that I really love. You wanted him, we’ve all got him now. Well done.
I know it's a sensitive subject but I found his speech at Hatton's funeral proper cringe. The way he kept smacking his lips into the mic gave me the shivers. He was reading the eulogy out like he was commentating on the Kostya Tszyu fight ffs.
100 per cent. On another forum you'd think he was Rudyard Kipling the way they were going on about it. It was bloody awful.
1. The growing trend of fighting just once a year 2. British stoppages and the many refs responsible 3. Tony Bellend
