Dave Allen vs Zhang

Oh dear.

Zhang puts Allen to sleep if this happens.

 

This won't end well for Dave Allen. Zhang is far too accurate and powerful for against someone very hittable.

 

Zhang is old but he probably still has enough in the tank to beat Allen, I wouldn't be surprised if the fight goes all the way either...

 

I don't think Allen can handle the Chinese power.

 

Please god no. Why would Allen get a fight with Zhang after losing to someone significantly worse, with a less powerful punch? And Makhmudov is a seriously hard puncher himself. But Zhang is arguably the hardest hitter in the division. Doesn't make any sense if it happens. And I don't want to see Allen take those kinda punches, or get KTFO. He knows his level, and he should stay there. I'd love to see Allen fight Chisora in Britain tbh. The atmosphere would be electric for both fighters.

 

Dave Allen is a lost individual, he was justifying his horrific shape for the biggest fight of his career, but then claiming Parker was too heavy for the fight against Wardley and could have done with dropping some weight. Baring in mind Dave is shorter and fought at the same weight as Parker last bout... yet he claims he trained hard. Zhang would damage him.

 

Allen could have beaten Makhmudov if the latter were not allowed to clinch as much as he did(the point deductions did nothing at all). Zhangs one clear weakness is what Allen does best.

 

I’m pretty sure Eddie promised Allen an AJ fight if he gets through Zhang.

I don’t want to see the Zhang fight. He’s too strong and Allen is too hittable, which is a bad combo for Allen.

 

It seems like an insane thing to do, but what if Allen actually avoided getting KO'd early and outlasted Zhang, it would be hilarious. That's Joseph Parker's best win.

 

How's Dave planning on spending his retirement years?

It's also Kabayel's best win (by far) - imagine what that would do to the hype...

 

Zhang's engine is poor and he's older than ever but many thought he didn't really lose to Hrgovic or Parker over 12, fighters who are levels above Allen. The difference in quality is too great. Allen just failed the "take his best shots and outlast him" test against Makhmudov and failed it several years and 20 lbs lighter ago against Price.
