This content is protected Current WBC Atomweight champion. She is the youngest female boxing champion in history. At 17 years old and 10 months, she is the second youngest person to win a world title after Wilfredo Benitez, who was 17 years old and 6 months. She was elevated to the full title, but still a good accomplishment.
Fantastic achievement! Not to take anything from her, do you know how many people compete in her weightclass?
And only 17 of them have 10 or more fights under their belt, of whom only 9 have won 10 or more fights. I dont want to kick this young lady too much, but its a bit of a joke of an achievement when you look at the state of the division. Still amazing that she turned pro at 15, and has been winning against actual adults.
It took just shy of 50 years for somebody to almost break Benítez's record. Do we think it'll stand for our lifetimes? It's theoretically easier now to grab a belt in the fractured era (particularly if you include the interims and regulars and whatnot) but ...17 is pretty young.
I think so, if we are counting female boxers then there isn't exactly a lot of competition in some of these weight classes and in Mexico they can turn pro young so..... possible
Are you suggesting that Camila Zamorano isn't the most talented p4p boxer since Radar? MISOGYNIST! This content is protected
I don't see or recognize gender in a boxing ring, maybe you should do some self reflection and check your privilege!
Don't care how young she is she's too bloody small. I have no idea how you guys can even see bantamweights, let alone atomweights whatever the hell that is. How are you supposed to watch, enjoy and score fights when you can barely see the fighters even on an 80'' screen? Look at the size of this fighter from the leprechaun children divisions This content is protected
