Y'know I had a kind of horrifying thought. Supposedly, Kubrat Pulev vs. Murat Gassiev is happening on December 12th, right? The winner would be the WBA Regular champion and therefore very likely to be the next mandatory for Usyk, assuming Wardley isn't both the WBO and WBA mandatory (I'm getting mixed answers on if he was stripped of his WBA Interim title or not). So... it's possible Usyk's mandatory after Wardley could be yet another guy he beat, albeit at a different weight class and 8 years ago. Even if it's not, it'll still be a 45 year old man whose best days were about ten years ago. This is of course assuming the winner isn't paired off with someone else that ends up beating them while Usyk takes on Wardley, but given the activity around both men... Oh, boxing. Never change
To be honest...I'd actually prefer Usyk vs. Gassiev II rather than Usyk vs. Pulev (which is just a dire thought)
I see no evidence the fight is coming off. Not up on boxrec, or the WBA website. Hope I am wrong, because I want this for Gassiev.

Interim WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KOs) might defend his title against fellow British heavyweight Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs). This was reported by ESPN journalist Salvador Rodriguez, citing WBO president Gustavo Olivieri. If Wardley doesn’t go straight into a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, the WBO could order Wardley vs. Itauma for the interim title — but first, they’ll assess the Ukrainian’s medical condition. I like this option more. Wardley vs Itauma & Usyk vs Kabayel is the most possible outcome for the division, IMO.
Typical Itauma Interview as I'm not the type to be nasty or be a silly online troll towards fighters on a personal level so all I'll say is he's no Fabio Wardley when it comes to articulating himself in interviews.
Why should Kabayel get the fight over Fabio after defeating an ancient Chinaman with less oxygen in his lungs than someone in a house fire? Let Kabayel fight Itauma as why did he not step up and risk it all against Parker like Big Fabio?
