Surprised there was never a thread made for this one. November first (tomorrow) at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, headlining on DAZN. Ten rounds scheduled at 175lbs. Another light heavyweight bout, Rea vs. Arthur in chief support in Rea's first defense of his EBU title. Each man has one defeat. Both have KO rates in the high sixties. Buatsi has a two inch height and ½″ reach advantage. They have two common opponents: Bartłomiej Jan Grafka - lost to Parker via TKO5 in 2017, and to Parker via PTS6 in 2018 Baptiste Castegnaro - lost to Parker via TKO8 in 2017, and to Buatsi via TKO5 a few months later.
It's a battle between the lackluster choke artists, fortunately for Buatsi, Parker chokes quicker than he does, especially when he's in with someone he thinks can hurt him.
I think that's a bit harsh on Buatsi, he shipped a lot of punishment against Smith and kept trying. If you're referring to the fact that he dodged a fight with Bivol, I'd put that down to being badly advised.
There's different ways of choking, Parker pusses out and mentally falls apart, while Buatsi tries but drops the ball every time he steps up.
