Please give your honest thoughts on Joshua Buatsi

I think his mind drifts during fights, during camera closeups you could see his mind wandering thinking mmmm I wonder what's on the buffet for later or who's that hottie in row 17, he literally looks like someone has asked him what's the square root of 26716.

 

have not seen a whole lot of him so i can only give a surface assessment. he needs a better trainer to teach him some things he lacks. he doesnt know how to use his legs other than to hold his body up. teach him to half step to deal with certain situations. he has no lateral movement and doesnt know how or when to take a step back. with the distances he operates at he needs to tighten up his defensive stance. its too porous and a bit lazy. needs to use his waist more to avoid shots at his preferred distance, it would make him harder to time and set up.
he isnt ready to unify titles.

 

Smith was a proven world level fighter in his prime. Smith has obviously declined but still had enough left to beat Buatsi. That doesn't bode well for Buatsi's chances of beating the top guys going forwards.

 

I had him clearly winning yesterday.

 

Winning what? Because he didn't come close to winning that fight

A good, strong, tough fighter but ultimately nothing special . Fringe world level. Will always lose to the top 5 in the division ( Beterbiev, Bivol, Benavidez, Smith etc) and any strong emerging prospects.

Has been overrated by some people such as yourself

And you're probably the only person in the entire world who laughably had Buatsi winning on saturday night

 

He's one of the biggest hypejobs of recent years. Callum Smith has RUINED him.And he wasted al that money on hiring Virgil Hunter and going to the USA for absolutely nothing!

Watch before he hooked up with Hunter and there was definitely some killer instinct within him

It's all evaporated and he trys stuff he just isn't suited to

It's not all on Hunter tho as its not like Buatsi was ever great
