Hey man, at least Haye inarguably won his defenses. Crummy defenses no doubt, but still indisputable wins at least. Pretty sure consensus is that Barrios should've lost to Pacquiao, and if I recall right there were quite a few people who had him losing to Ramos as well.

Which makes me wonder. Has there ever been a champion before now that had multiple defenses in one reign yet didn't win a single one of them? That's gotta be a new one for this sport. Or at the very least puts him in extremely rare company

Crocker is definitely on borrowed time, but that was a great win vs Donovan. Donovan would smoke Barrios. I think Garcia knocks Barrios out, but the pair of them should be nowhere near the 147 WBC title.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Garcia looked so bad against Rolly.

I was actually wondering about the draws myself. I cant imagine there being any such title reigns before Barrios.

    He's not worse than Rolly....................

He may have the worst two division reigns in history however, but nah, there's a few world titlists I think are worse.

Hasn't won a fight legitimately since 2023 and gifted a title shot in 2026?

I know barrios is a weak belt holder that the promoters are trying to line up for names but what about the WBC ranked guys who earned their shots and their ranks

Losing with a giant social media following
The latter is the key ingredient to failing forward.

I know it’s trendy to hate on Haye but was his title reign that bad though? Haye beat Valuev (that only lost 1x before) for the title, KO’d Ruiz (only KO’d once before in 56 fights) and then KO’d Harrison before Haye lost the title to Wlad (one of Haye’s worst performances but no shame in losing to Wlad). Haye KO’d Chisora (second KO of Chisora if you count the press conference) after that, a win that aged very well.

Haye’s reign at heavyweight was not very long but far from the worst.

Valuev was 36, and got a gift decision over ancient Holyfield in his last fight.
Ruiz was 38, and was in the twilight of his career.
Harrison was 39, but he was on the best run of his career - I wont take that away from him. Even won the EBU title in his previous fight, scoring a come from behind KO in the 12th round in dramatic fashion. But he should not have been in any world title fight, he simply was not on that level.

There are definitely worse reigns, but Haye is one who came to mind at the time.

Donovan probably does, but the problem is there’s not evidence that Donovan or Crocker are world level apart it was basically a domestic level scrap for a world title.

but yeah barrios is awful apart the ugas win he’s shown absolutely nothing and can’t seem to even win a fight lol.

Barrios hasn't won a fight legitimately since 2024, and should've lost the belt twice now. Once to a journeyman and then to a 4 year retiree. Neither of whom earned it either.
