There are several statements from people who knew them from the ring, not fans, but mutual rivals or sparring partners. McCall, Bruno, Tucker, Ruddock, Biggs. Virtually every one of them claimed Mike Tyson was better. I think Tucker was the only one who chose Lewis, but without conviction. I'm curious about Holyfield's opinion; perhaps someone knows?
Glenn McRory, Tom Patt, Jim Egan, and several others also spoke interestingly about their sparring sessions. Generally, Lewis has a much better chance according to fans than boxing insiders.

Lennox. Too big and too strong for Mike. Even Tyson thought that he probably won't be able to beat Lewis, even in his prime.

Lewis has got all the assets to beat Tyson. Tyson would be dangerous early, as always, but i see Lewis grinding him down. His tactics would mirror those he actually used, obviously.

I don't see Lewis thriving against a very fast pressure fighter who has comparable power.
I know I will sound very selective, but Lewis himself admitted that he was "unsettled" during the 1st round of their fight, where Tyson showed better movement.
To his credit he tried to stand his ground, but he didn't seem comfortable at all against a slower Tyson during that round.

Lewis wears him out and stops him late. He’s not gonna allow Tyson to get combinations off, because he’s gonna use his strength to nullify Tyson up close, lean on him, wear him out and tee off more and more as Tyson’s legs tire.

The same fundamental stylistic match remains whether prime or past prime. Tyson might have a slightly better chance earlier, but it really sucks for a little guy trying to get past Lewis' bombs and then getting tied up.

Lewis wins by combination of size , reach, power and high ring IQ .
The kronk style perfected by Lewis was. An absolute nightmare for Tyson.
Tyson has a small window of opportunity in the first few rounds but outside of that, it's all Lewis.
Lennox by ko 5- 8 rounds for me.

Two B/C level fighters got to him with ONE right hand...........Trail Horse Mercer who never won a meaningful fight made it razor close......24 walzing boring rounds with Oldiefield who in his next fight could not even get rid of Huggybear Ruiz......12 with a fat one trick Pony Tua.......another 12 with a Euro Hypejob with a bad haircut........wobbled by a jab from Rahman in the rematch.............hitting the deck against Nobody Akinwande.....wobbled by Arm Puncher VK...............but but but Lemmie for sure is gonna man handle Tyson.
