She's simply not good enough at the moment. She was doing a lot of dumb **** like constantly switching to southpaw off her right hand. On top of that, there was no head movement with every punch. Before the knockdown in round 7, Jazzy took something like five clean right hands. She slowed down massively in that round. And it was clear that the pace she was going at wasn't sustainable, even though she was winning the fight up until then.

To be fair to her, fighting Shannon O'Connell was a massive step up, as was Mai Soliman, who is nothing special herself but she has a very good finish record in women boxing.

Jazzy is a beautiful young lady with a very bubbly personality. And the daughter of a legend, it's hard not to get behind her.

But I just dont see a world class boxer in her. Definitely seems like a muay Thai fighter moonlighting as a boxer at times, which you would kind of expect I guess.
A lot to learn about the nuances of the hands only discipline but she is super young and if she sticks at it could definitely improve.
The illtimed stance switching is a classic Briggsy move.

That's a kracker finish by Hunt. Id like to see the rest of that fight.

Taylah Robertson living in the US now.

Lost her last bout by MD back in March, in Mexico.

Lucas Browne looking to continue but with a focus on the bare knuckle stuff and considers himself in semi-retirement mode. Though he doesn't really know what he is going to do once he hangs the gloves up:

“I just sort of turn the page on boxing now and I think the bare-knuckle is definitely my thing. And then I’ll be retiring.”

“I’m basically just going around the world to different places I’ve never been. So I’d never been to Ireland. I went there for some training. I’d never been to Germany. I just went. I was going to go to Wales, but now I’m going to Miami. I’m just traveling around, obviously on other people’s dime. It’s not my money, it’s the promoters,' and just having some fun, meeting some people, punching people in the face and enjoying myself as I retire.”

“I’m not stupid about it,” Browne said. “I’ve been doing it for 16 years. I’d say my actual speech has dropped about five per cent and I know this – I can tell. So yes, I’m not in it for too much longer. I’m not stupid enough to continuously get beat around the head. I can still have a conversation, but yeah, I’m not stupid in thinking that this is a forever thing because it’s just what happens.”

“I feel like that was always on my mind,” he said. “But… just have a normal job – like a normal person. I’ve had my gym, and as great as it was, it wasn’t like the money-maker I wanted.

That's why I feel sorry for these guys that retire because they don't know what else to do and once you are older with no real qualifications it's hard to find work to pay the bills. Running a gym is not easy there are so many out there that it is hard for a lot of them to turn a decent profit. As crazy as it sounds he is better off in the bare knuckle than a boxing match. The quality of opposition is a lot less difficult.

It's also a lot less dangerous in terms of longer term health concerns. You'll get bruised and cut up badly but your not taking 10 to 12 rounds of solid shots to the head.

Yeah exactly it's only 5 x 2min rounds I think. Also not every shot is fully loaded as you need to protect your hands.

Browne, although he comes across as quite well spoken, was a bouncer before he started pro fighting. So he probably hasn't got any qualifications or worthwhile job experience to fall back on.

Saw a video of him doing a walk-through of his gym and there was a heap of expensive gear in there, as you would expect, including a boxing ring. To his credit, there wasn't a huge emphasis on boxing related stuff. Which meant he could target the average Joe fitness people as well and that's where the consist money usually comes from. But within a relatively short period of time Browne is out of the gym and that very likely means he copped a loss on it. Probably a sizeable one.

So at 46 (turns 47 in April), he is doing the only thing he really knows, and who knows what toll it will take on him in the long run?

The thing I don't like about bare knuckles is the horrendous cuts and the increased potential for serious damage. Including eye damage. Mug's game in my humble opinion.

Yeah it's a dangerous game but like you said what else is the guy gonna do for money. Yeah he would've taken a loss on the gym for sure it's a tough business and I heard his membership was something like $60 a week so the average Joe isn't gonna pay that when there are much cheaper options elsewhere. He will probably have to go back to working security.

If $60 a week is correct, that is a joke and he was never going to get enough people paying that on a consistent basis to make it work.

The only way gyms get away with exorbitant rates like that is if they are a wanky, glamour palace that doubles as a pickup joint.

Yeah I can't remember exactly how much it was so don't want to be speaking out of school but I heard it was around that much which is crazy. I get as a former champion that he could no doubt charge that much for a one on one session. He may have needed to charge those prices to cover his overheads.

Would like to see him fight Tai tuivasa if Tai joins Hardman at IBC and one large last payday after BKC.
Saw him interviewed previous week on Derby Day and says he hopes to have a fight in Jan or Feb.

Garside has succeeded in establishing himself as a B grade media personality but from a boxing perspective it has been very disappointing since he medaled at the games. He's 28 and has had 4 pro fights in 4 years.

If i was Big Luc I'd have had my eye on opening a security agency for at least a decade before this time of his life , I'm not talking about all that close protection glamour bollox either it would be supermarket , office , industrial estate gate house sort of operation etc , I'm sure there'd be an opening in that sort of caper for him with not too much start up costs , saying that though if he's happy doing what he's currently doing and ain't receiving too much damage well crack on man good on you and the best of luck to the fella .
