Frank Warren has confirmed that Usyk is negotiating for Wardley, so the usual suspects can save their tears and invective. But apparently Ruiz and Usyk have been texting, and Usyk would be willing to do it down the line.

“I was like, ‘Hey, much love, brother. I would love to get in the ring with you.’ And then he was like, ‘In God’s timing, we will do it. We will run it up.’

Interesting because his camp also expressed interest in Wilder a few months back. It does seem they are looking for name fights they can make money off of.

I read somewhere that Ruiz Wilder was going to be happening next.

Boring fight Ruiz has concentrate feet and Usyk would run rings around him and win an easy UD.

No one wants to see Usyk fighting against a fighter that is no longer relevant.

Ruiz would be a punching bag for Usyk.

I understand Usyk wants to collect all the pieces, and he's missing Wilder and Ruiz as the other 'champions'.
Problem for him is they're damaged goods now, especially Wilder.
Reality is that they're still better opponents for the record than Parker/Fabio/Kebabsyal. But it can be argued not better opposition for now.
He probably wanted them to bounce back and become contenders again but they don't fight enough to do that.
Yeah, best to let them fight each other.
Or I would tell them to beat a contender and then consider the fight.

Usyk better look out for that 'punch from the Gods' that Joshua kept referring to.

While building a legacy beating an ex champ is a known quantity while fighting a new contender is kinda gambling on what they do next.

Ethically given where the division stands it would be wrong to fight Ruiz. Theres like 20 people who've been marinating for years waiting for a title shot.

I'd be entertained by Usyk v Ruiz(provided hes on Ozempic) same as Usyk v Wilder. But Usyk is a champion and he has a responsibility to the rest of the division he is royally ****ing over.

Usyk was being kind. He's not wasting a training camp on Cartman.

I would take Ruiz over yet another rematch, but otherwise agreed.

I can't see this one happening unless Ruiz has some convincing performances, and he's too lazy for that. Who would pay for a fight against someone who hasn't fought since he was lucky, in the eyes of most, to get a draw against Miller?

Wardley and then Kabayel. Those are the only fights that are interesting now. If he continues on after that, maybe Parker and Ituama if they put together some convincing performances.

Might be too hopeful about Parker, but I'd like to see him beat another top 10 guy or two and then finally get his chance at undisputed. He deserves it.

Ruiz needs to focus on getting some good current wins before trying to jump the cue. Nobody wants to see this after coming off a lucky draw with miller

He would probably be in the running if he stayed somewhat active. But he wants to have his cake and eat it too. And then eat everyone else’s cake. And then a can of Cheez Whiz.

Ruiz is just looking for a payday. He will come in out of shape and have a terrible camp.

This is a reminder that the WBA has Miller ranked 4th so the Andy Ruiz draw actually matters.

    LOLLLLL.
