    Me first:
Every non title bout is fought in dim, small places with dirty white canvas rings.

    Now its your turn.

Good guy always wins, fights ending in spectacular beatings and knock outs without a ref or doctors jumping in.

I hate the Hype and B.S of Boxing today period, especially among the British Press & TV Media.

at least the Movies have a bit of license.

Well, the entire Rocky franchise pretty much destroyed realistic boxing!

There's a lot of blows and itches and dirty whiteness near rings.

Incidentally, even through the most corniness, I feel like Stallone's Rocky films understand boxing better than any of the most realistic boxing movies. In a human condition way and as a singular business.

That a sawed-off Italian American with little defense and the reach of a Chihuahua can become heavyweight champion against a legit, virile, young athletic foe.

The Apollo vs. Drago fight was ridiculous. Ref would have stopped it by the end of round 1 in real life.

I personally like how they trade flush haymakers from hell for ten rounds and then go unharmed to drink a beer afterwards with a little bit of sticking plaster over the eye to show it was a "hard fight".

Even Ollie McCall would die from the punishment these filmic bruisers exchange.

    Definitely!

I enjoyed the film on the whole but that inaccurate portrayal really irritated me.
