I can’t dislike Eddie Hearn.

I met him at the Kambosos Wiley fight I know he can be a BS artist as a promoter but he is a cheerful knock about sort of bloke. He doesn't take himself too seriously.

 

My first memory of Hearn was at a boxing event in 2011. I went to get a photo with Ricky Burns, and Hearn just appeared from nowhere and got in it as well. I didn't even know who he was at the time. I ended up losing the photo, too. Overall, the sport is much better off with Eddie in it, as self-involved as he is; UK boxing would be in a much worse state if the two leading promoters were Bricktop & Shalom, but he definitely has a shady side to him, but most big names in the sport tend to.

 

Hearn is not as bad as the untrustworthy snake we call "Fish Eyes".

 

Hearn is one of the greatest promoters of all time. Amazing salesman and spokesperson for his fighters. Great sense of humour, massive personality,

He's the only foreign promoter that could have gone to the xenophobic USA and be successful.

And it's good to see a promoter be in shape and promoting a healthy lifestyle, and positive mindset.

Compared to snakes like Don King, Bob Arum and Frank Warren he's pretty honest and straight.

 

For somebody who told everyone who would listen, he would be different. He is just another snake oil salesman.

 

Dana White will be swimming in that same pond soon, as well.

I don't mind him at all.

 

It always interesting when people listen to or care about what promoters say. Are they similarly very interested in what politicians have to say?

 

How much coke did he pay you to write this?

 

I used to really like him until the Eggs Benedict fiasco and his tasteless public approach towards Eubank, particularly the weight cutting. Totally put me off him.

 

His ego is big enough to have its own zip code.

 

Liking Hearn is like Stockholm syndrome. The guy has taken hostage of the division(s) for years now.
