David Tua vs Usyk

How about having a look at Tua vs Byrd.One big difference is Usyk ,unlike Chris Byrd, has significant
punching power.

 

The slowest feet vs. the fastest feet.

Gotta go fastest feet.

Today I pick Usyk

What a difference 5 years make

 

Well, your opinion 5 years ago was clueless.

Usyk had already shown he was a master A* level boxer. And he'd shown he had power against Huck, Bellew, etc.

 

At his best, I'd pick Tua. It's a style nightmare for Usyk. Chisroa was able to put pressure, then harder hitting, iron jawed volume punching Tua would do it better and win by KO.

But if you average their careers, I'd pick Usyk. The chances of the best version of Tua showing up are not as good as the chances of the best version of Usyk showing up. Usyk's feet are too good and he'd be able to say away from the plodding version of Tua that was basically most of his career.

 

You're right but for the wrong reason. Usyk would box Tua's brain out of his skull....................he does not have significant punching power. That's silly to even say.

 

Usyk isn’t hurting Tua but I’d like him to win a UD after a scary moment or two.

 

If anybody is being silly it's you.Please have a look at Usyk's stoppage of Dubois.To deny Usyk
has significant punching power is just plain daft.

I think Usyk would have gained time and distance from Tua and would have won comfortably on points.
