On paper it looks like a winnable fight for Quarry. But I’m not sure if he can stay out of trouble for an entire evening without taking some serious damage from those left hooks of Tua’s. That and Tua had an iron chin so a KO win for Quarry is highly unlikely

I think Quarry s winning till he isn't.
Tua finally gets him, behind on the cards.

If Tua will actually let his hands go he wins.

    On paper Tua should win.

But on paper (and H2H hype) Tua should have retired undefeated. He didn’t and I saw him troubled by a multitude of different styles even in fights he won. For all his power and great chin he was relatively easy to outbox. Quarry definitely has a chance to outbox Tua as well. Power didn’t really bother Jerry too much. Skills did which is something Tua lacks. He was a one trick pony.

Quarry was cagey enough to survive an early blitz .. I see him winning a decision ... the only Tua that beats him in my opinion is the one that fought the bout of his career against Ike, a fight that I feel he actually won by a shade ..

If both are at their best I’d favor Quarry to decision Tua. Quarry’s ring generalship and counterpunching are all wrong for Tua.

    Poll options suck.

I would back Quarry to win, but I wouldn't bet more than a dollar.

The thing is, even if Tua tricks Quarry into a brawl, Quarry could still conceivably win. Quarry was more even-handed than Tua, had better technique, timing, and accuracy. If he keeps it at mid-range and boxes, Tua would have all sorts of trouble with Quarry's jab and counters.

However, Tua if nothing else was strong as an ox and would keep Quarry honest if he lets his hands go. Quarry was a difficult guy to take out, but even he would be in trouble if Tua consistently lands that devastating hook of his or God forbid opens up a cut. I wouldn't say a 50:50 fight, maybe 55:45 or 60:40 depending on which Quarry shows up and how he approaches things.
