Adam Booth certainly worked with him used to see him and his brother heading into the Harrow Wealdstone train station used to get the fast train to Euston and to go to Booth's gym. May of only lasted a couple of fights though their time together. Booth was near the top of his coaching reputation at the time. Last chat I had with him said it was going well Booth you could tell by the way he spoke about him Booth was a guy that was also trying to help him mentally not just physically. I guess Warren is thinking chuck him in deep, against the odds but FW had certainly invested a lot of time and money in him and Smith he simply doesn't see any value in building him up but giving him a chance, be it hard. Edit just checked odds Dawson is 4/6 Smith 13/8, hopefully the fight is as competitive as the odds, hope Smith wins.
Impressive win for Mitchell Smith. I wonder how far he can go now and whether he would have become a world champion if he had made different life choices?
Nice to see him comeback. I'd like to see him get a British title shot vs Louie O'Doherty, That'd be a good fight.
Someone’s made this about Mitchell Smith covering the fight night – good insight into his comeback fight and the whole atmosphere around it. Makes you wonder if we’ll get the Warrington fight now, assuming Josh sticks around after the Wood rematch. He’d be more likely to take it if he loses and doesn’t retire, and if Mitchell can get another win in the meantime, it suddenly becomes a real option. This content is protected
