I never caught this long version … Lennox was truly pissed and wanted to end him .. we all saw the opening but this is a whole different different perspective ..

Rahman did well in their grapple here but LL seriously destroyed him in the rematch.

Both guys get along good now from recent footage I’ve seen of them. That’s nice to see.

I remember reading Big George’s response on his Twitter account before his passing when someone told him how outraged they were about him being robbed in the Briggs fight. George said he was over it straight away and “It’s only a game”. Glad to see LL and Hasim have followed that lead and let the machismo go and let mutual respect prevail instead.

Rahman is physically very strong he could benchpress 450 pounds so I've heard.

Lewis is the better boxer but in a street fight it might be a different matter.

What I never saw before was the length and how Lennox was infuiriated and really was going after him .. this could have really gotten out of hand ..

    This never gets old

Good find. Have watched the original version several times, but haven't seen this.

There was another press conference during the build up to the rematch where Rahman said about Lewis, obviously in reference to their studio brawl, that "he was on his back kicking like a woman". Lewis was clearly infuriated and went after Rahman and had to be held back. Didn't look like the usual fake hype that we see in this sport. Would like to see that again if anybody has it.

Pretty fun build up to that one.

I saw Lennox Lewis (Tua fight) and Rahman (Barrett fight) in real life. Rahman was a true beast of a guy in his prime.

But when Lennox Lewis walked in a room, it was different. When you saw him, you understood that the World Heavyweight Champion was always a big deal because that guy was supposed to be able to beat every man in the whole world. And when Lewis walked in a room, and you were in there, you believed it.

And that didn't come across on camera. You had to be there.

There have been bigger men than Lewis, but he had a presence that you didn't even consider messing with.

The fact that Rahman got him on the floor made Lewis LOSE IT. Rahman talked a good game, but Lewis kept coming in that clip. And Hasim's plan to **** off Lewis backfired. Because Lewis wasn't rattled. He just wanted to kill Rahman.

The Rahman KO of Lewis, and the Lewis KO of Rahman, are two of my favorite KOs ever.

I saw Lewis in person once at my boxing gym in Toronto a few years after he retired. He was sort of advising/training David Price who himself is a huge heavyweight. Lewis had this kind of presence where when he walked in ALL eyes were on him. He didn't look arrogant, just kind of quiet and imposing like a silent killer lol. He seemed reserved/introverted but with this kind of 'Don't **** With Me' look but was actually really nice to talk to once he let his guard down. Price on the other hand was kind of interesting to look at because he had this tiny head on top a colossus body. Lewis was giving him pointers on how to throw an uppercut on the bags and he still looked like he could take out any current heavyweight.

Current Rahman might still be strong enough to that to a prime Lewis.

Lennox hasn't had much luck with clinches outside of official fights.

Anyone got the footage of Lewis & Rahman in a radio station (during this press run for the rematch) where if i recall correct lewis is damn near jumping up and down telling rahman to put money on the fight if he truly thinks he'll win. never seen lewis as animated as he was in that moment, mind you i haven't seen this footage in donkey years so i might be hyping it up more than it actually is
