I doubt Wlad would land a power shot on him now. Fury is still pretty hard to hit clean as Usyk showed and Wlad couldn't land big on AJ after the early hits and swung away all night. Fury would land a lot more and almost certainly TKO him. In truth the rematch with Fury training properly would have been very interesting, maybe even a great fight, assuming Wlad 'let his hands go' as he promised. But Wlad delayed it with an injury then Fury started headbutting ring posts in the gym. That stuff happens in boxing. Whatever you want to say about the fight, it was absolute entertainment. Fury came out to a weird Jesus song as an incredible underdog, beat Wlad on points without a mark on his face, then sung his Aerosmith song while Wlad watched on in horrified shock. It was absolutely legendary.
And I am one of the few who absolutely didn't think it was a bad fight. I like scientific boxing, and Fury's fans in the audience gave it a fun atmosphere. Maybe they should have a rematch now, although I would still rather see Fury-Joshua.
It kind of did usher in a new ers in the heavyweights but Fury had nothing to do with it, for the first few years anyway.
A guy who had a mental breakdown and got up to 400 pounds shouldn’t be mocking anyone. Fury’s duck of the rematch was disgraceful.
I hope Usyk sends a message to Tyson reminding him about him being 6ft 20” and still getting his **** pushed in by a middleweight in 9 years time
Of all of Wlads losses only Fury didn't knock him out. In addition Wlad had a combined twenty three title defenses over his multiple reigns, Fury had what, three? Fury is the Al Bundy of boxing, reliving the one moment he was worth a crap. Too bad he pissed it away for years after.
although I posted the chances of a Fury win are high.....I think Wlad would win. less likely yes....but I would place a wager on it. not a large one though.
