Most peculiar/strange characters in UK boxing

I understand a manager has to hype his fighters, But it's ****ing cringe how much he overhypes them so much, it's like an extreme salesman tactic.

he signed Dan Toward and Cameron Vuong recently, two decent Birtley boys (but nothing special really) and here are quotes from him

"This is the first time I’ve worked with Kalle and Nisse, with one of my fighters, and it’s been a long time coming.
"They have been in boxing a long, long time and have a proven track record of successfully building great champions.
"My prediction is that Dan Toward will be their greatest ever signing."

and on Cameron Vuong
"I genuinely believe we are looking at the next superstar of boxing"

 

He’s a ****ing numpty mate. It’s the jumping straight on YouTube to analyse a fight like he’s some kind of expert that gets me. He’s also got a weird obsession with Josh Taylor even though he signed Catterall after that fight had happened. It would not surprise me one bit if Josh twatted him should they ever come face to face.

I saw a quote from him that perfectly summed him up. Something like ‘I used to cross out my classmates names on their homework and put my name on to get a better mark’. An absolute chancer who’d do anything to get his feet under the table.

 

Sam Jones, what's he like eh, always has to go massively overboard with comments about his fighters.

 

He’s got 12 of the ‘next biggest star in boxing’ at the minute. Why anyone would pay Sam Jones to run their career is beyond me. Absolute clueless idiot.

No Sam Jones and Frank Smith?

 

Contrary to plenty of boxing fans I find Sam alright. Good mouthpiece, salesman manager to have for fighters especially ones with quiet personalities.

And I don't mind Frank Smith either.

 

Daniel Dubois has a mild learning difficulty and an abnormally low level of verbal communication skills.

 

Not a good mouthpiece at all. He can barely say 5 words without stuttering. He just stands out because he’s loud, has a horrible accent and looks like a hamster.

He’s the only ‘manager’ (I use that term loosely as he can’t actually get a managers license) I see who’s always getting in the ring or up on the apron. You don’t see proper managers like Steve Wood or Kevin Maree constantly jumping in the ring or in front of a camera.

Quite a few, with Gareth H Davies at the top, not sure if its the outdated long hair on a older man, the array of necklaces, the tinted shades, over use of the waistcoat, the wrist bangles, strange questions to boxers, rolling of the R, when talking about hispanic boxers, so yea, I find him a tad annoying.
