    One of the best 154 pound fights I've ever seen. The build up to this fight was one for the ages, and was one of the most anticipated fights of the early 2000s. Maybe if Vargas had a few more fights on his belt and gained a little bit more championship experience we might have got a different outcome that night!

    I loved that fight. What a savage performance from Trinidad. He would wreck guys like Thurman and Erroll Spence. He would wreck most 147-154 pounders over the last 35 years.

    Incredible and brutal fight from start to finish. Trinidad was relentless throughout while Vargas showed so much heart but ultimately succumbed to Trinidad's power in the end to the point that he just wasn't the same after. Were it not for Barrera vs Morales 1 this would have been easily FOTY.

    Man that was a great fight! After the first round, I thought Fernando was done and never thought for a second that he would work his way back into the fight. Brave effort by him and a signature win for Tito that made him a Superstar.

    It is odd how he’s become drastically underrated given he’s extremely popular and known still in Puerto Rico but I suppose because he’s not often seen at big events outside the island he’s sort of out of sight out of mind. Also, he doesn’t really promote or market himself. But yeah when we see threads and it’s like 50/50 with Erislandy Lara (!!!) it makes you see how underrated he is. I swear a lot of folks on here would legit pick Khan to beat him, say Danny Garcia has a better career etc;

    Yeah, great to watch. Such a crowd pleasing style and such a charismatic and humble man. About the nicest superstar in the sports from my experience.
