Zhang has never had a world title, Wilder has. In 50 years from now, boxing fans will not remember Zhang, but they will remember Wilder.
Factually accurate, and unfortunate. Because although Zhang is massively overrated with a 50/50 record against contenders... Wilder has 1 (generous) draw and 4 losses against contenders. It's clearly who has the better record - and it's clear who was manufactured better.
True - Zhang was avoided until he was about 40. He would have accomplished more with better management and if he had turned pro sooner.
Boxing fans remember Shavers but not Ernie Terrell even though Terrell held a title and Shavers did not.
