Mbilli was interim champion so the title will not be vacated.

Good matchup. It will be competitive, but I think Mbilli who is very durable and strong will win.

It's a tough fight and we will find out what Hamzah really made of as Mbilli is a strong bull type fighter who comes in straight lines at you all night ..

But I feel Hamzah will break him down and stop him late ..

Not sure he even takes the fight. You'd think corrupt Turki would get his protected personal project a softer touch for the vacant title like a Berlanga type bum again.

I suppose they'll say just last the distance and don't worry we'll have the judges covered.

I mean Adames won 10 rounds to 2 amd somehow Sheeraz got a draw lol.

Sheeraz struggled massively with Adames (and by all credible accounts should have lost.) Whilst of course there are stylistic differences between Adames and Mbilli, both utilise head movement very well, and Sheeraz against Adames could not get a handle on Adames' head movement and the fact Adames' often closed the distance with his centre low. Add to that I think Mbilli is a more hurtful puncher than Adames, and given the toughness and chin Mbilli displayed against Martinez, I think Sheeraz could be in big trouble in this one.

Surprised they'd take this fight, Mbilli is a horrible fight for Sheeraz. Beating club fighter Berlanga does not prepare you for a swarming fighter like Mbilli, Sheeraz loses this one pretty comfortably, but he could still get the nod from the judges, just like the Adames fight.

This has been designed by Turki, come on Crawford not paying the fees to the WBC?
Sheeraz is an ambassador for the ring magazine and a favourite of Turki, Crawford has no intention of hanging at 168 but it would take a lot longer to strip him of his title for not defending than this two month period, Crawford is close to Turki and thanks to him he got his biggest payday and brought canelo to the table for their bout.
If you look at this situation logically then you should see that, one Crawford would not vacate a title due to unpaid fees, two Turki wants Sheeraz as a champion as soon as possible, and WBC (we be crooks) is the most corruptible sanctioning bodies out there.
This absolutely stinks and it should be called out for what it is, as far as I know the fee is normally a percentage of the purse or maybe the take on the door, so it makes no sense for someone like Crawford to fail to pay and I would expect it to be disputed in public before getting stripped, I have been following his channel and he’s been doing multiple WBC events around the world, so this seems suspicious to me.

But on a side note, I have said it a few times here that the best fight from last year was Mbilli against derevyanchenko where Chenko lost the use of his lead hand in the fourth round and actually won the 5th or 6th, he had no business being in there taking what he took that night but he finished the fight on his feet.
A heroic performance from a heroic fighter.
    Sheeraz smashes him to bits

Mbili a rock em sock em robot! Was not impressed by he or martinez. I fell asleep during their fight from lack of skill and iq.
    Shareez will beat him easy.

Mbili is much better than Berlanga.
