Did Vernon Forrest have a good chance to beat ODLH, Trinidad, Wright, or Mayweather?

If we're talking about Forrest vs. Winky in 1999 or 2000, that'd be the guy out of this lot he'd have the best shot of beating. But if its Forrest after the shoulder injury, and Winky at his 2004/2005 peak, then no shot.

Tough to say with Trinidad. I can imagine Forrest outpointing Trinidad, but just as easily imagine Trinidad leaving Forrest ship wrecked on the canvas, maybe around round 7

 

Trinidad would be a problem for Vernon. Tito had height and size himself. Forest wouldn't have the advantage he normally does. I see Trinidad's pressure forcing midrange exhanges.
Vernon could punch but i don't see him outslugging Trinidad over 12 rounds. See the Blocker fgiht for example. Forest was better than Maurice but im not sure how much.

DelaHoya would have alot of trouble with Forest. He may pull it out if he get get a hook over but he would have to almost get lucky.
Forest by decision most likely.

Winky Wright- Forest by decision.

 

I could see him moving up and beating Winky in the late 90s or very early 2000s. Windy hadn't settled into his style yet and Vernon left little to exploit.

He'd probably get caught in the second half against Tito after causing problems in the first half. He'd have a chance there.

Oscar would be a narrow favorite and probably win by like a point. He'd have a chance.

Floyd would decision him.

 

Somewhat perversely, it wouldn't surprise me out of all of them to see him match up most favourably against Mayweather. That's just an impression though rather than a deeply thought out analysis. I find Mayweather to be overrated at welter more than most tbf.

Oscar and Winky, I'm not sure, I'd have to give those more thought.

The earlyish welter version of Trinidad who was a bit more Louis-esque and varied in his approach would eventually clatter Forrest imo, be it quick or more of a slow burn.
