Cotto was 2-1 at MW. He really just had a cup of coffee at MW. But I've seen some comments very critical of his chances if he'd had a longer campaign at 160. Cotto beat two champions then lost to Canelo. Canelo was a future 175 champ who fought Bivol close. Cotto was a little past it at that point. Before Canelo Cotto did not lose a round at MW. I don't see the shame here for Cotto. Just my two cents.
Actions are greater then words. Like yeah its a funny meme I get it but his English isn't perfect thats a lot of the response time there.
I'm a huge Cotto fan but I don't put much stick into his win over Martinez. If Martinez had both knees, he would have won easy. Cotto is a great fighter but not even close to a natural middleweight in that era.
Nah, not really. Maravilla was done by that point, his legs were gone even if Cotto did put in a very good performance. Geale was a decent MW but Cotto drained him like crazy. Canelo beat him clearly. His catchweights, Canelo cash-out, and avoidance of GGG are what he's remembered for at 160, since he really didn't do much of anything at the weight.
