    I've said my piece before, but I want to say it again, because tomorrow is a huge fight for him. He deserves better than he got, and I hope he gets his return. Gassiev is a very exciting fighter with power in either fist, and an excellent arsenal punctuated by a beautiful hook to the body. Once upon a time, he was 25 years old, and unified cruiserweight champ, with excellent wins over Wlodarcyzk, Lebedev, and Dorticos. Then he met the greatest fighter of this generation, and it has been all frustration, injuries and limbo ever since. I hope tomorrow changes all that.

    Yes, the WBA "regular" title is a joke that was sued back into existence after even the grifters at the WBA tried to abolish it, and no, Pulev is no longer a first-rate opponent at 44, but all of that not withstanding, if he wins, he'll have decent to good fights come to him, and, when Usyk retires or relinquishes the belt, I would imagine that he will be allowed to fight to be the sole WBA champ, if not elevated outright. So it is a big day.

    Yeah, and it was easy work for Wallin.
    This fight is really about: how much has Pulev aged?

    Gassiev has had to deal with so many injuries and time off over the years, that its hard to tell where he is right now. Age wise he is still in his physical prime, or close to it, yet he has not looked so for a while. In fact, he looks like hes in his 40s.

    I am trying to be generous and blame his last 3 performances on the time off, but I dont know... I think hes simply washed up and uninterested in the sport. I think Pulev will outbox him with relative ease, for the most part, and if Gassiev does win it will be via comeback KO.
    Pulev threw the kitchen sink at Charr and could not dent him, and Charr was able to close the distance because Pulev could not maintain the output needed to keep him off of him.

    What an achievement to beat Pulev, who's almost 50, for a secondary belt! And then he will lose this secondary belt in the future against Itauma ? Gassiev should have stayed at cruiserweight; the reality is that even if he win against Pulev he did nothing at heavyweight. I'm not even going to watch this joke.

    the funniest thing is Gassiev's height is always listed at 192cm... who makes up this fairytale bull****? the bloke is nowhere near that and he looks out of shape also. I don't think he's lied about his age but he's just one of those very old looking men who now looks about 55.

    If Pulev's legs are still any good there's a good chance he might outpoint Gassiev.

    Pulev is indeed 44 y/o but, as crazy as it sounds, I'm not even sure a 44 y/o version of him with 300 amateur fights of wear and tear compared to Gassiev's 25-30 doesn't have more left than a 32 y/o Gassiev does or is as much a diminished version of his former self as Gassiev is who has looked a shadow of his former prime self at HW post all the injuries, whereas, conversely, Pulev still looks like himself, or he did the last time I saw him, but a diminished version.

    32 y/o Gassiev looks a lot less like the prime version of himself than the 44 y/o version of Pulev does compared to his former prime self. As said, it sounds crazy but Gassiev looks older and like injury has taken more from him that they have Pulev

    Gassiev weighed 216 for Wallin and when he did catch Wallin clean he rocked him a bunch of times

    He's weighed 230-238 max for all of his other fights at HW either side Wallin. Not sure why he decided to come in so light for that fight. He's come in at 230 for this fight

    even if he wins he just be used as stepping stone i bet they try to get itauma in with him asap if he wins
