Great fighter, he was a pleasure to watch. I've watched the highlights of his fight with Spence a good few times. He made a lot of money and got out without taking a lot of damage. All the best to him.

Yeah, I remember Spence coping that shot off Ugas. Didn't look like much and Errol seemed 1 punch away from a ten count.

He never looked the same in the eyes after the car crash.

 

PBC froze him out for a long time at 147lb. He got his bigger fights after leaving Top Rank. Without evidence, I think he might have ended up being a pawn in a promoter's war.

I like his style. Very good at poking holes in defences. Turned on the power when the opportunity was there. Could outside box. Very good counter puncher. In fact, I think he's been a pretty well-schooled all-around fighter. Wore quite a few flush shots, but apart from Gamboa, I don't remember him getting wobbled. Indomitable spirit.
He didn't dominate every fight but he always found a way.

despite the cooked scorecard he barely scraped by Trout before Floyd, and most had Trout winning 4-5 rounds at least
his resume at that point was very thin despite 40 fights everyone knows he barely fought live bodies in 2013

Bud fought a better, more experienced, dangerous and version of Canelo in his best weight class. Bivol technically fought the best version of Canelo except that he was never a LHW so that docks him points.
