Mike Tyson vs Oleksandr Usyk objective resume comparison

I would compare Usyk beating AJ twice to Tyson beating Frank Bruno twice. Only Tyson TKO’d.

 

Being top 5 in a historically weak division is somehow supposed to be impressive? More impressive that Ruddock's record at HW including giving a prime Tyson one of his toughest fights? He would have taken Gassiev's head off.

Someone as mediocre as Marco Huck being a champ so long just proves how weak cruiser weight is. Thomas was a quality boxer who beat quality HW champs from his era and you think Marco huck is better.. lol.

 

All of them would knock out gassiev and huck and the rest of the cruisers most likely. These guys had long successful careers at HW.

Ruddock only beat shot opponents he didn't beat a single prime contender at heavyweight. What's his best win? No reason to think he beats Gassiev.

Huck was never the best cruiserweight in the world at any point in time and never held lineage. He was a belt holder who lost when he tried stepping up in class

 

The main difference between their resumes is Usyk's magical "0".

There's not a man he has faced that could beat him, and the most trouble he has had was with an actual giant in Fury.

 

He beat 40 opponents with 30 knockouts and gave prime tyson a hell of a fight, that's plenty of reason to think he beats a mediocre non HW like Gassiev who has done nothing at the weight.

 

Tyson is no bigger than some of todays cruiserweights. You are trying to boost Ruddocks based on how he did against a guy who by todays standards is just a cruiserweight. What about the losses to Lewis and Morrison? Dorticos and Lebedev would have to be favored over most if not all the guys Ruddock beat at heavyweight who were past their prime generally and badly out of shape.

 

Fury isn't 6'9 he is nearer 6'7.5

 

Mike Tyson is seen as more of a H2H prime for prime type of guy than for his legacy.

However, people forget Mike Tyson was truly the number 1 pound for pound ranked fighter at his peak.

 

When just giving the most overrated boxer ever a tough fight is your best achievement you know haven't done **** all, it's completely meaningless. Back when the heavyweight division was some all American weak division, that raw, telegraphing slugger Ruddock never achieved anything, never beat nobody, and got knocked out 5 times. (Gassiev has never even been dropped)

The only title Ruddock ever won was the domestic Canadian Heavyweight title

Markus is one of those who thinks he's smarter than ANY post of his actually shows. Definition of dunning-kruger if I ever saw one...
