Set to be elevated to full WBA champion on Saturday when Lamant Roach gets stripped and although he is likely to lose the title in December he seems a fighter that no promotor wants to get involved with. His win over Batyrgaziev (Olympic champion and away in Turkey) was sensational. Works with Lee Eaton yet Queensberry didnt get involved. There was talk last year of him fighting Nick Ball which was a good fight but never materialised. Also worked (maybe still does) with Bellew but Matchroom only seem to use him as an opponent. This is despite him beating their fighters-Leigh Wood & Zelfa Barrett. Per Jazza he also agreed to fight Ray Ford but again fell through. He was previously on channel 5 too & a few documentaries so relatively well known & in a weight there has been fights to be made. Hope he's getting well paid in Japan as surely a fight v Wood, Warrington, Conlan, Cacace would have paid well.
Fight v Tsutsumi cancelled due to opponent getting a cut. Could work out well for Jazza as surely more attractive options now available as a belt holder. Ball undercard v Cacace or Ryan Garner???
It’s cos his nose is busted up and he has big ears. I’m not even messing. If he looked like Joshua, he’d be in these fights. An unasthetically pleasing James Dickens doesn’t put enough bums on seats especially in this Jake Paul social media age where the ‘new audience’ don’t care about credentials but fake trash talking and image.
ironically I think Jazza's a great talker too, one of the few fighters who's youtube channel I watch.
