    I agree with all your comments, which is why I'm virtually certain Crawford won't be anywhere near my top 20 p4p all time when I come to evaluate him, despite, on the face of it, having the credentials - I.e. unbeaten, 3 x division world champion, world titlest in 2 others and wins over 2 x top 6 pfp fighters, as ranked by Ring magazine at the time he fought them, one of them two weight divisions above where he first one a word title, the other five.

    On balance, I expect I'll have him higher than Marciano, though, and certainly higher than Calzaghe.

    Will be interesting to see how his stats, in terms of wins over best ranked fighter in the world aside from himself, top 5 ranked and top 10 ranked contenders beaten, lineal/undisputed title fight wins, alphabet title fight wins, etc., compare to other ATGs who competed in the past few decades.

    I still can't believe he retired with another huge bag available for a Canelo rematch. I wonder if the retirement is just a negotiating tactic. There's too much money on the table for that fight to not run it back. Wasn't even a hard fight for him, Madrimov gave him more problems.

    Maybe it is.
    Maybe he feels there’s just nowhere to go or anyone left to beat? Or maybe feels age factor is always going to be there now, and how much more money does he need?
    I think Canelo has always been overrated though

    He is 38 years old.
    The only guy he seemed interested in fighting was the middleweight who recently popped dirty. That would have been a good challenge.
