You said "if he turns up 100 percent for all those fights"

Which wouldn't happen if Fury follows the same timeline is the point.

Nor would Fury fight that many notable Heavyweights year in year out.

The best guy Fury ever beat was Wlad who is a bit overrated himself and just shy of his 40th birthday. Fury would get ko’d by Lewis and Bowe, Holyfield I’d favour on points. Could win or lose against Buster. Old Foreman is very dangerous for him too.

I can’t understand anyone picking him over Lewis ? He doesn’t have big one punch power which is the only thing that made save him against Lewis. Lewis is all wrong for him IMO. The jittery style he used against an old Wlad who’d forgotten how to punch isn’t going to help him here.

So the question is can Fury potentially beat everyone that Holyfield has a win over, and he gets multiple tries? Usually we assume the best version shows up for these mythical match ups.

I guess the answer is yes. If he gets multiple tries.
Holyfield does not have a win over Lewis,SNV, Byrd, so Fury does not need to beat them in this scenario.
The hardest opponents would be Bowe, Foreman, and Tyson. I'd favor them to win, but if they fight multiple times, I reckon Fury could pick up a win.

If the question is "Can Fury have a career fighting a similar caliber of opponent as Holyfiled?", then Fury picks up lots of losses. Holyfield fought everybody. No body is making it through that without finding a puzzle they can't solve.

I'm going to be honest, I don't think he mentally can keep up with Holyfields schedule. I think he becomes unstuck at some point and can't do it. In a vacuum yes, Bowe would be his biggest problem but there are plenty of guys who could get him along the way. I also don't think he could do Holyfields schedule, I think he would crack and have to take a sabbatical like he has done multiple times in his career.

    So he has to fight

Fury goes through Holyfield's competition like a knife through hot butter - until he meets Vaughn Bean and gets sparked.

Yep that's what I've been saying and when you list it like that it makes it even more apparent.

I know people will laugh at this but a young Fury who was struggling vs the likes of McDermott and was getting floored by Pajkic.

It wouldn't be out of the question he could lose to Dokes who was in good form vs Holyfield.

There's no way Fury could fight that many notable Heavyweights over a decade without failing.

Fury was having soft touches and almost losing to the likes of Wallin, Ngannou, and most of his notable wins are fighting the same opponent 3 times Chisora, Wilder.

No way could Fury could replicate Holyfields run he hasn't got the dedication to stay in shape nor could his mentality handle it.

Fury blatantly ducked or actively avoided most of the live bodies of his own era. How the hell would he ever clean out any other era?????

He'd refuse to fight much of Holyfield's resume.

I know you kid but I could see Fury coming in underprepared for Bean and looking like absolute crap against Bean in a dreadful fight

Ngannou sat Fury down. Foreman would have split his face like a watermelon .

    Ok ?

And all I said was its not realistic that Fury would be 100 percent for all those fights ?

Considering Fury was alot less active and fighting considerably worse opposition on average than Holyfield and couldn't be "100 percent" for a significant amount of his fights in actual real time.

But if you want to be snarky about it because I gave a reasonable counter point to your comment go ahead.

If you started Fury at the first time Holyfield Fought Dwight Muhammed Qawi, it would be 45 fights Fury would have to win. That would take Fury well into his hundreds to accomplish at his rate of fighting, even if he could defeat them all. By which no means could he.

Pajkic and Cunningham heavily sat him down. Plenty of guys on Holyfield's resume would too. Probably about half of them.
