I don't understand it either. I'm not sure what Jake Paul did to provoke such 'hate'.
Apart from, "oh he's a YouTuber, and he makes a lot more money than several better boxers ...."

well, yeah, welcome to professional boxing. Some guys draw the crowd, and they get paid.

I don't care one way or another about Jake Paul and his boxing record, or his generation or his 'Influencer' background, but he sure as **** deserves some credit for stepping in the ring with AJ ..... after an exhibition with Gervonta Davis fell through.
That's a ballsy decision.

Yeah, I'm even seeing former pro-boxers saying Jake deserves no respect because he ran all the fight and just tried to survive. What's he supposed to do, stand and trade at range with a unit in the center of the ring? That would be the most stupid and suicidal **** tactic ever.

Just watched the fight. Then go on here to see 80% criticizing paul or joshua without suspecting foul play? Really?

You think Joshua keeps missing with single swinging telegraphed hooks and only jabs a little apart from that?

You think Joshua hit Paul with full force at the end? Hitting flush is not the same as hitting full force. And obviously the last shot will be in all highlight videos and Shorts around the internet. It has to be somewhat visibly impactful.

You saw him miss hook after hook, all being too short, even in closer distance.

I am surprised to see so many boxing enthusiasts take this as 'a sign for the weakness of the current heavyweight generation' or whatever conclusions you would draw from that if it was real.

 

No, it was not fixed, it's just AJ is that robotic and Paul was on the bike, it's really that simple. AJ is a pure drill fighter, too used to throwing 3 punch combinations on the pad, little fighting instinct, terrible at anticipating movement, etc. Once Paul tired and AJ started finding the range, it was game over.

AJ is a shot, robotic, stiff rusty 36-year-old fighter.
He looked a bit like what he is.

Jake Paul is a ballsy rich young man who has dedicated himself to boxing training, acquired some fitness, who wanted to survive as long as possible and land a few punches.
He looked a bit like what he is.

 

I'm not praising Joshua, let's be clear, but he could have ripped Paul apart whenever and however he wanted.

 

I have to agree, you could see every now and again AJ would actually throw a jab or a few punches with venom, night and day in difference, then just stop. At time's he was literally just punching the air... and with combinations

 

I'm tempted to pick out scenes and make a youtube video. But I assume copyright would stop me from doing it... I wonder how those youtubers do it.
