AJ had plenty of opportunities to cut the ring off, back JP into a corner, had clear openings for big counters when JP wasnt landing but didnt take them. He carried JP for a few rounds then used a combination of exhaustion and some so so shots to end it.

Maybe this would be an unpopular opinion; but the fight looked fairly realistic to me.

JP tactics came down to spending unreasonable amount of energy to run death-scared around the ring. When AJ got close, he was looking to clinch. When that didn't work, he was falling onto the canvas.

With this approach, I do believe JP is good enough to survive several rounds against this version of AJ: mentally insecure, past his prime and risk-averse.

Of course there was no way that JP could sustain that rhythm. As soon as he gassed out, the fight was effectively over.

Has AJ been holding back and not taking opportunities? Maybe, but it's not out of his current character.

Mate, the straight right was open to him any time he wanted it as far as I could see. He carried Paul for 4 rounds, not helped by Paul running like a rabbit and going to ground every time he was unsure of himself.

My take is Joshua had something contracted to carry it beyond 4 or something more like that. I don't think it was "WWE scripted" as AJ doesn't have the chops to pull that off IMO :risas3:, but Joshua pulled at least a couple of easy straight right opportunties in round 1 and 2 one of which was really clear he pulled it.

Maybe Joshua wanted rounds in I guess but whatever the net result it was comedy viewing. Jake constantly dropping to his knees to fellate the big man! :risas3:

Joshua had loads of opportunities to throw the right hand esp when Paul was backing up. He was clearly carrying Paul.
Or he really is completely mentally shot.

I wish people would stop chatting rubbish, there was no fix, no carrying in the sense you make out, it was just a case of a fighting getting on his bike in a big ring, that's all Jake Paul could do, stay the hell away and hope to land a big overhand right before diving in for the clinch. You must be on crack to suggest AJ would go easy on him and allow him to land the odd big right hand, anything can happen when two 200lb + men throw their hardest shots.

You don’t know shiii about boxing. The ring was much bigger than usual and Jake Paul kept doing wrestle mania moves everytime Joshua threw a shot. Plus Jake faked a low blow and got a 30 second break from the referee so he could go back to running.

The fight was not fixed Jake just ran around being an idiot for 4 rounds and as soon as he got tired Joshua took him out.

Rigging a boxing match is a serious criminal allegation that can carry years in prison if found guilty. Yet every time something slightly weird happens in boxing everyone starts screaming rigged.

Nobody says this about baseball or football or basketball anywhere near as often yet weird things happen in those sports aswell. If you can prove a fight was rigged then go sue them and get your PPV money back.

There was definitely something weird going on in the first 3 rounds. Joshua was pulling almost all his shots.

All he had to do was stick a few stiff jabs in Pauls face then follow with the right. He probably could've ended it with a body shot any time he wanted also.

Even the commentators were beginning to get furious in the 4th or 5th as it honestly looked like a scripted farce. There would've been riots if he hadn't eventually KO'd Paul.

At around 1/10 odds there was really no way for an average person to bet on Joshua just to win. Huge sums of money went on him to win via KO in the first 3 rounds. I think he may have carried Paul for another huge bonus from the good old bookies.
    We'll never know for sure.

Legit my ass, Joshua could have literally killed Paul in round one if he really wanted to.

Getting rounds in isn’t acceptable when it’s purported to be a legitimate fight and people are betting

Is that why AJ threw illegal kidney shots one time in the clinch, and also kneed him intentionally one time too? One time he also threw two HARD low blows out of FRUSTRATION as well.

To me it looked like he was FRUSTRATED because he COULD NOT land a meaningful punch in the first 4 rounds.

You don't use illegal tactics if you're "holding back" or "playing with your food".

This just proves what a bum dosser he is.
