lol Jake wasn’t getting up anyway, ref could have counted slow wouldn’t have mattered. Jake COULD have got up but was done and knew it.

 

Absolutely this was not a fully real, all out fight. If you believe that any responsible people would allow such a thing when the guy is not a real fighter and going in there with a recently former heavyweight champion then you have to be a bit delusional.

If he killed or seriously injured the lad then imagine how many people's conscience that would be on (if it was real). Too many people this has to get past, who'd be responsible for this, for it to be fully legit in my opinion.

Got him with a flush one and then that was that. No other damage done. Makes it look legitimate to the majority of viewers and nobody's legacy or standing in the sport gets harmed. Both make a hell of a lot of money. Simple business transaction, but let's not pretend it's more than that such an exhibition

 

Look how devastated Benn still is about the state Gman has had to live out his life.

No sane fighter wants that, or worse, on their record.

And Benn was in a war with a guy who could (and had) hurt him bad.

Joshua wasn't - he was in with a terrified deer desperately trying to survive and offering next to no genuine threat...
Pulling his punches? Goddamn right and not without reason.


And for all we want to talk about the reputation of the sport...
Yea, it looks terrible - it was always going to - these dumbass novelty jobs always do.

But just ask yourself - if a guy got permanently damaged or killed in that novelty bout... What do you think that's going to do for the reputation of the sport?
And with lots of fans celebrating that it had happened, at that?


Under no circumstances could everyone be kept happy... But it could've been much worse.

 

Fury is one of the biggest hypejobs ever....in any sport. He beat a couple guys who were washed up and a handful of bums, that is it.

 

I agree, it's shocking that people think otherwise. AJ had so many wide open KO looks that he passed up to circle away and throw a weak jab to the body. It was a disgusting display of AJ obviously carrying Jake to give him rounds, then KOing him in the agreed upon round.

 

Joshua went easy on him.

Jo$hua did his job. There will be more lucrative fights for promoter Jake Paul in the future.

 

I'm not saying they did it. I say that's how i would have done it. No matter what they agreed upon though - it's very clear joshua held back.

Let's turn it back to you - you actually think that Joshua approached this like a real fight where he did his best but couldn't out of his own incompetence?

And you think that is more likely than them sparring beforehand?
